(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Aquatech Drain Services Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Firle Bostal – from Newelm for 200 metres southwards.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 20 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 20 and 24 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Fletching Street – from the junction with C14 Tunbridge Wells Road to the junction with C14 Coggins Mill Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C14 Tunbridge Wells Road – A267 Tunbridge Wells Road, Argos Hill, Tunbridge Wells Road – C568 Lake Street – C14 Coggins Mill Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
West Gate – from the junction with C110 Station Road to no. 15.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 9 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs on 9 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure Battle Crescent – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 3 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken 3 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
The Street – from the junction with B2026 Duddleswell Road to the junction with Back Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2026 Duddleswell Road – C3 New Road – A26 Uckfield Road – U7853 Oldlands Hill and vice versa.
The Order commenced 19 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 7 and 8 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
Newick Lane – from the junction with C14 Stone Cross to the junction with A265 Burwash Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C14 Stone Cross – A267 Wellbrook Hill, Mayfield Road, Heathfield Road, Cross in Hand Road – A265 High Street, Burwash Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 6 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A265 Heathfield Road, Burwash Road – B2096 Battle Road, Cade Street, Battle Road, Earls Down, Carricks Hill, Woods Corner, Battle Road, Darwell Hill, Kane Hythe Road – A271 North Trade Road – A2100 London Road – A21(T) – A265 Station Road, Haremere Hill, High Street, Straight Mile, Etchingham Road, High Street, Paygate and vice versa.
The Order commences 7 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 10 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road; Temporary Road Closures
Gatehouse Lane – from the junction with B2102 The Street to the junction with U7404 Pound Lane.
Diversion via U7404 Pound Lane – B2102 Framfield Road, Blackboys Road and vice versa.
Sandy Lane – from the junction with U7507 Gatehouse Lane to the junction with B2102 Hammonds Green.
Diversion via U7507 Gatehouse Lane – B2102 The Street, Hammonds Green – U7403 Etchingwood Lane and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

Cornwells Bank – from the junction with U5655 Font Hill to the junction with P5718 Cockfield Lane.
Diversion via U5655 Font Hill – C8 Church Road – U5004 Allington Road – A272 Western Road – C651 Oxbottom Lane – U5653 Cornwells Bank and vice versa.
Ridgelands Lane – from the junction with U5653 Cornwells Bank to Ridgelands Farm.
Diversion via U5655 Ridgelands Lane – U5654 Markstakes Lane – A275 Chailey Green Road – C651 Cinder Hill – U5653 Cornwells Bank and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with alternative routes for through traffic as set out above.
The Order commenced 26 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C14 Newick Lane, Mayfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
To allow Versatile Utilities Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road:
Temporary Road Closure
Newick Lane – from the junction with U7587 Piccadilly Lane to Quarry Wood Farm.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C14 Stone Cross – A267 Wellbrook, Wellbrook Hill, Mayfield Road, Heathfield Road, Cross in Hand Road – A265 Cross in Hand Road, High Street, Burwash Road and vice versa.
The road closure is anticipated to be in place between 6 and 12 January 2025.
The Order will also temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Newick Lane – from the junction with U7587 Piccadilly Lane to Quarry Wood Farm.
The speed restriction is anticipated to be in place between 13 and 24 January 2025.
The Order commences 6 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the restrictions will be in place as detailed above.
