ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U7759 Lynholm Road/Aberdale
Road, Polegate) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Lynholm Road/Aberdale Road – from the junction with U7759 Bramley Road to No.1 Lynholm Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7759 Lynholm Road – B2247 Pevensey Road – U7759 Aberdale Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7707 Church Lane, Pevensey)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Church Lane – from the junction with U7707 St Nicholas Close to the junction with B2191 High Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2191 High Street – A259 Wallsend Road – U7707 Church Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 6 and 15 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
