Golden Cross, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Testing Works

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: B4457 Golden Cross To Stretford Road, Stretford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4457 Golden Cross To Stretford Road, Stretford, north west of junction with A4110. Grid Ref: 343932/255544.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4457 onto the A44 onto the A4110 onto the B4457 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to pole testing works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 16th of January 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
