Green Crize, Temporary Road Closure Due To Bridge Inspection Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1261 The Pastures To Gatehouse Road, Green Crize, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1261 The Pastures To Gatehouse Road, Green Crize, at the railway bridge. Grid Ref: 351430/237829. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Barrack Hill onto Little Birch Road onto The Thorn onto the C1263 Green Acres onto the A49 onto Holme Lacy Road onto Hoarwithy Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to bridge inspection works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 28th of January 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night (23:30-6:00).
