Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Kirtlington, Akeman Street Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 30 December 2024 Coming into force: 6 January 2025 This Order is being introduced because of reinforcing the water main supply to the Great Wolfe Resort works which are anticipated to be completed by the 14 March 2025. This is a 24-hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the Easten part of Akeman Street to the Junction with the B430. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Northampton Road, B430, A4095, Portway, A4095 and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14737/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Bicester, Banbury Road B4100 Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 20 January 2025 Coming into force: 27 January 2025 This Order is being introduced because of resurfacing works requiring the following overnight road closures
1. Banbury Road - from the A4095 roundabout northwards to Charlotte Avenue, 27 to 30th January (9pm to 6am);
2. Banbury Road - from the A4095 roundabout southwards to Lodge Close, 30 January to 5 February (8pm to 6am).
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the above sections of road. Exemptions are included for emergency services, the Works and for access to property. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. Diversionary routes will be signed accordingly. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14963/RMF)
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) & (7) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
A44, Begbroke - 30 mph Speed Limit Date of Order: 30 December 2024 Coming into force: 6 January 2025 This Order is being introduced for safety of the workforce and the public during pedestrian crossing installation and associated electrical work which are anticipated to take until 31 March to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily reduce the speed of traffic from 50 to 30mph on the A44 Woodstock Road from Springhill Road roundabout to a point 1 kilometre north of that roundabout on both carriageways. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (A44 Oxford to Woodstock Road) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 (re 50mph speed limit) will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14630/RMF)
