What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Waters Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Stratford Road to its western junction with Fairfield Road to enable SGN to carry out gas main replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Waters Road (unaffected length) - Castle Road - Stratford Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27th January 2025 and the closure will be required until 24th March 2025. For further information please contact SGN on 0800 9121700. B) C323 (Part), West Dean; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out works at Dean Station level crossing. Alternative route via C323 (unaffected length) - East Tytherley Road - Coach Road - C323 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:30 and 05:30 for 1 night. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: C) B3081 (Part), Donhead St Mary and Tollard Royal; from its junction with North Road for a distance of approximately 1km in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via B3081 (unaffected length) - A354 - A350 -A30 - C295 - B3081 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) Milford Mill Road (Part), Laverstock and Ford and Clarendon Park; from its junction with Queen Manor Road to its junction with New Petersfinger Road to enable Scottish and Southern Electricity to carry out tree and associated works. Alternative route via Petersfinger Road - A36 - Wan a Long Road - Bourne Avenue -Laverstock Road - Manor Farm Road - Millford Mill Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 06 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. E) C336 (Part), Alderbury; from its junction with Witherington Road to its junction with Southampton Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Southampton Road - Clarendon Road -Shute End Road and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 22 July 2024 will now be recommenced on 09 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 15 January 2025. For further information please contact Atkins on behalf of Wiltshire Council on 01225 730438. Orders A) to D) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order R) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
