Oldbury Road, Rowley Regis - Temporary One-Way Road and Cycle Lane Closures
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Oldbury Road, Rowley Regis) (Temporary One-Way Road and Cycle Lane Closures) Order 2025 intends to temporarily
prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Oldbury Road, which will be closed
one-way in a north-easterly direction from the north-eastern side of the access road for the Wilko Car Park to the junction of Henderson Way. Traffic will be diverted via Birmingham Road, Market Place Roundabout, Long Lane & Archer Way. Vehicles exiting the Wilko Car Park will be restricted from turning left to Oldbury Road. The cycle lane in the vicinity of the works in Oldbury Road will be closed and cyclists requested to disembark and rejoin the cycle lane at Henderson Way. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 15/01/2025 effective from 13/01/2025 (9:30am - 3:30pm each day). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay duct for telecoms cabling by Openreach.
