Eastleigh, Temporary Road Closures Due To Frame & Cover Repair Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - A335 LEIGH ROAD & WOODSIDE AVENUE, EASTLEIGH TOWN, EASTLEIGH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

  • that part of Leigh Road eastbound between its junction with Woodside Avenue and a point approx. 50m east from that junction.
  • that part of Woodside Avenue southbound between its junction with Leigh Road and a point approx. 50m north from that junction.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Shakespeare Road, A335.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 2nd January 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 night, working between the hours 20:00-06:00).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Southern Water to carry out frame and cover repairs. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: NRSWA@CBUL.UK

Southern Water will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
