Basingstoke, Temporary Road Closures Due To Works On The Roads

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - BLACK DAM ROUNDABOUT & VARIOUS JOINING ROADS, BASINGSTOKE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

1. Black Dam Roundabout between all of its junctions.

2. A30 Ringway South between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and its junction with Hackwood Roundabout.

3. A339 Ringway East between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and its junction with A339 Ringway East On Slip (Northbound) & Off Slip (Southbound) for A3010 Churchill Way East.

4. Gresley Road On Slip between its junction with Gresley Road and its junction with A339 Ringway East (Southbound).

5. Churchill Way East (Southbound) between its junction with Basing View and its junction with A3010 Churchill Way East

6. A30 London Road between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and its junction with Park Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A30 Ringway South, A340 Ringway West, A3010 Churchill Way West, A3010 Churchill Way

DURATION OF ORDER: from 2nd January 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 22 nights, between the hours of 21:00 - 05:00).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Kier Transportation to carry out Drainage, CCTV Surveys and VRS Surveys for National Highways M3 Black Dam Roundabout. Kier Transportation will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
