TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

ACLE - Bridewell Lane from its junction with Old Road for 50m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway repairs on 8th January 2025 (may continue until 19th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Old Road, The Street.

BELTON WITH BROWSTON - Footpath Adjoining Heather Gardens from its junction with Station Road North for 100m south-eastwards to facilitate CityFibre installation of new fibre network for BDUK from 6th January to 31st January 2025 (may continue until 5th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Station Road North, Bracon Road, Heather Gardens.

BLAKENEY - High Street from 141m southeast of its junction with The Quay for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate BT new customer telecom connection works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 7th January 2025 (may continue until 18th February 2025). Alternative route is via: High Street, New Road, Westgate Street, The Quay.

BLICKLING - Cromer Road from 400m south of its junction with Plantation Lane for 160m southwards to facilitate vehicular access for works vehicles as required by a safety audit. The road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 18th January 2025 to 16th January 2028. Alternative route is via: N/A. This restriction is also made pursuant to section 15(2).

BOOTON - 1) Norwich Road from its junction with The Street to its junction with Furze Lane and 2) Church Road from its junction with Norwich Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water stop tap replacement works which is anticipated to be from 8th to 10th January 2025, only while signs indicating the closure are in place (may continue until 21st February 2025). Alternative route s via: 1) Norwich Road, Church Hill, Market Place, B1145 Station Road/Cawston Road/High Street, Aylsham Road, B1149 Holt Road, Short Thorn Road, The Street, Felthorpe Road, Reepham Road, Alderford Common, Norwich Road. 2) Church Road, Reepham Road, Easton Way, Buxton Road then 1). N.B The closures are expected to take place for 1 day within the anticipated dates period.

BURGH CASTLE - Back Lane from its junction with High Road for 500m north-eastwards to facilitate installation of a new fibre network from 6th to 17th January 2025 (may continue until 28th February 2025). Alternative route is via: High Road.

BUXTON WITH LAMAS - Scottow Road from 100m west of its junction with Little Hautbois Road for 250m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council rod, rope and installation of sub duct works between 19:00 and 06:00 from 7th to 9th January 2025 (may continue until 20th February 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Mill Street, Coltishall Road, B1354 Buxton Road/Rectory Road, B1150 Norwich Road/High Street/Station Road/North Walsham Road/Church Street, Scottow Road (Horstead with Stanninghall, Frettenham, Buxton with Lammas, Coltishall, Scottow, Tunstead).

CAWSTON - Oulton Street from 90m north of its junction with Birds Lane for 240m northwards to facilitate creation of a new carriageway entrance and cable duct installation from 7th January to 13th February 2025 (may continue until 13th August 2025). Alternative route is via: Chapel Street, B1145 Aylsham Road, B1149 Holt Road.

COLBY AND BANNINGHAM - Church Road from 290m north of its junction with Bridge Road for 170m northwards to facilitate creation of a new carriageway entrance from 6th to 31st January 2025 (may continue until 31st July 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, High Noon Road, A140 Cromer Road, Banningham Road, Colby Road, Church Road (Erpingham, Colby). COLTISHALL - B1354 Wroxham Road from its junction with Belaugh Green Lane for 350m eastwards to facilitate BT pole testing and tree cutting works on 7th January 2025 (may continue until 18th February 2025). Alternative route is via: B1354 Wroxham Road/Church Street, B1150 High Street/Norwich Road/North Walsham Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, A1151 Wroxham Road/Norwich Road, Stalham Road, B1354 Horning Road West/Belaugh Road/Coltishall Road, Wroxham Road (Horstead with Stanninghall, Salhouse, Beeston St. Andrew, Hoveton, Rackheath, Sprowston, Belaugh, Coltishall, Wroxham, Crostwick).

CORPUSTY AND SAXTHORPE - Locks Farm Road from its junction with Town Close Road for 200m southwards to facilitate tree felling works on 10th January 2025 (may continue until 21st February 2025). Alternative route is via: Locks Farm Road, Briston Road, The Street, Corpusty Mill, Town Close Lane, Town Close.

ERPINGHAM - School Road from 245m south of its junction with Calthorpe Road for 30m southwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing on 6th January 2025 (may continue until 17th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Calthorpe Road, Eagle Road, Scarrow Beck, School Road.

GREAT YARMOUTH - Alexandra Road from 10m north of its junction with Crown Road for 28m northwards to facilitate construction of a new bus stop, traffic shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 6th to 31st January 2025 (may continue until 31st July 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A.

GREAT YARMOUTH - Hawkins Avenue from its junction with Jellicoe Road for 80m southwards to facilitate repairs to depressions in the carriageway on 6th January 2025 (may continue until 17th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Jellicoe Road, Cradock Avenue, Seymour Avenue, Hawkins Avenue.

GREAT YARMOUTH - Temple Road from its junction with Market Gates for 200m southwards to facilitate installation of a new bus stand, the road will be subject to the temporary suspension of the bus lane from 6th January to 20th June 2025 (may continue until 5th July 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A.

GREAT YARMOUTH - Howard Street South from its junction with Stonecutters Way for 158m southwards owing to the interest of public safety to prevent the obstruction of the road by parked vehicles during bus diversions. Traffic over the road shall be temporarily subject to a clearway restriction from 6th January to 20th June 2025 (may continue until 5th July 2026. Alternative route s via: N/A.

GREAT WITCHINGHAM - Mill Lane from 60m east of its junction with Hazel Lane for 120m eastwards to facilitate UK Power Network electrical service upgrade works on 9th January 2025 (may continue until the 20th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Hazel Lane, Heath Lane, Church Farm Lane, Furze Lane.

HELLESDON - Mayfield Avenue from its junction with Coldershaw Road for 50m westwards to facilitate Anglian Water communication pipe repairs from 7th to 9th January 2025 (may continue until 20th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Eversley Road, Coldershaw Road.

HICKLING - The Street from its junction with Eastfields Road to 55m north of its junction with Town Street to facilitate Building Digital UK works for duct installation and cabling works from 6th to 10th January 2025 (may continue until 21st February 2025). Alternative route is via: Sea Palling Road, Hickling Lane, Stalham Road, Sea Palling Road, Mill Road, Town Road, Ingham Road, Yarmouth Road, Lower Stathe Road, Old Market Road, A149 Yarmouth Road/By Pass, New Road, Staithe Road, Heath Road, The Green, The Street (Stalham, Ingham, Hickling, Catfield, Sutton).

HOLKAM - Holkham Footpath FP1 from its junction with Lady Annes Drive for 200m northwestwards to facilitate boardwalk replacement works from 7th January to 31st March 2025 (may continue until 6th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Holkham Footpath 1.

HONING - North Walsham Road from 270m southwest of its junction with The Street for 130m south westwards to facilitate windfarm civils works from 6th January to 7th February 2025 (may continue until 7th August 2025). Alternative route is via: North Walsham Road, Hoolehouse Road, Stonebridge Road, Mill Common Road, Walcott Road, Coast Road, North Walsham Road, Happisburgh Road, North Walsham Road (Witton, Honing, Bacton, Walcott).

NEATISHEAD AND BARTON TURF - The Street/Smallburgh Road from its junction with Irstead Road for 450m northwards to facilitate Building Digital UK cabling works and desilting from 6th to 8th January 2025 (may continue until 19th February 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street/ Smallburgh Road - The Street, Norwich Road, A1151 Stalham Road/Norwich Road, Smallburgh Road. Hall Road - Hall Road, School Road, Mill Road, Smallburgh Road (Smallburgh, Barton Turf, Ashmanhaugh, Neatishead).

NORTH WALSHAM - 1) Norwich Road from its junction with A149 North Walsham Bypass to its

Alternative route is via: Grammar School Road, Yarmouth Road, A149 North Walsham By-pass (Worstead, North Walsham).

NORTH WALSHAM - 1) Market Place from 75m east of its junction with Kings Arms Street for 30m eastwards and 2) Market Place from its junction with Kings Arms Street for 75m eastwards to facilitate works for a new water supply. The road 1 will be temporarily closed and the road 2 shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) from 6th to 8th January 2025 (may continue until 19th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Kings Arms Street, Grammar School Road, Yarmouth Road, New Road, Pound Road, Marshgate, Bluebell Road, Bacton Road.

OLD CATTON - Spixworth Road (southbound only) from its junction with Lodge Lane to its junction with Proctor Road to facilitate gas main upgrade works from 6th to 24th January 2025 (may continue until 7th March 2025). Alternative route is via: Spixworth Road, Lodge Lane, St Faiths Road, A1042 Chartwell Road.

ORMESBY ST. MARGARET WITH SCRATBY - North Road from its junction with Beck Road to its junction with Decoy Road to facilitate carriageway patching works on the 8th January 2025 (may continue until 19th February 2025). Alternative route is via: North Road, Thoroughfare Lane, Scratby Road, Station Road, North Road.

POSTWICK WITH WITTON - Postwick Lane from its junction with Mill Lane for 300m eastwards to facilitate removal of a dangerous tree from 7th to 8th January 2025 (may continue until 19th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Postwick Lane, Brundall Low Road, Yarmouth Road, Broadland Northway, A47, Cucumber Lane (Brundall, Postwick with Witton, Great and Little Plumstead).

REEPHAM - Nowhere Lane from its junction with Lodge Lane for 76m northwards to facilitate works to create a new entrance from carriageway and laying cable ducting from 6th to 31st January 2025 (may continue until 7th March 2025). Alternative route is via: Nowhere Lane, Jordan Lane, B1145 Reepham Road/Bawdeswell Road (Bawdeswell, Reepham).

ROUGHTON - 1) Old Mill Lane from its junction with Old Mill Road for 120m southwards and 2) Old Mill Lane from its junction with Old Mill Road to its junction with Cromer Road to facilitate installation of overhead fibre cabling. The road 1) will be temporarily closed and the road 2) shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (southbound) on the 7th January 2025 (may continue until 18th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Old Mill Road, B1436 Felbrigg Road (Felbrigg, Roughton).

SEA PALLING - Beach Road from its junction with The Street to its junction with Clink Lane to facilitate Norfolk County Council footway maintenance scheme works from 6th January to 21st February 2025 (may continue until 21st August 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Stalham Road, Sea Palling Road, Water Lane, Ingham Road, Heath Road, Sand Hills, The Marrams, Clink Lane (Ingham, Lessingham, Sea Palling).

SHERINGHAM - Curtis Lane from 30m south of its junction St Austins Grove for 50m southwards to facilitate replacement stop tap works from 8th to 10th January 2025 (may continue until 21st February 2025). Alternative route is via: Curtis Lane, Nelson Road, Cliff Road, Beeston Road, A149 Cromer Road, Beeston Common.

SUTTON - Church Road from 250m south of its junction with New Road for 240m southwards to facilitate pole testing works on the 9th January 2025 (may continue until 20th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, New Road, The Street, Hickling Road, Church Road. TUNSTEAD - Tunstead Footpath FP5/Church Lane for 25m either side of the railway crossing to facilitate corrosion inspection works and defect repairs from 22:00 on the 5th to 05:00 on the 6th January 2025 (may continue until 17th February 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A. TUNSTEAD - Market Street from 225m southeast of its junction with Wateringpit Lane for 60m south eastwards to facilitate works to rectify railway track geometry faults from 22:00 on the 7th January to 06:00 on the 8th January 2025 (may continue until 19th February 2025). SOUTHERY - Sedge Fen Road from 1000m east of its junction with A10 Ferry Bank for 20m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water access point removal and reinstatement works from 6th to 17th January 2025 (may continue until 28th February 2025). WALSINGHAM - Hindringham Road from its junction with Whey Curd Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate works for a new water connection from 2nd to 4th January 2025 (may continue until 15th February 2025). Alternative route is via: Hindringham Road, Blakeney Road, Walsingham Road, Front Street, Langham Road, Warham Road, Binham Road, The Street, Wells Road, Knight Street, Holt Road, Scarborough Road (Wighton, Warham, Hindringham, Walsingham, Binham). Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/ restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.
