THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS
(ROB LANE. NEWTOIN LE WILLOWS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Rob Lane between A49 High Street and Outside 16, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Monday 24th February, 2025, and will have a maximum
duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be two weeks.
The alternative route will be via Newton Lane, A580 East Lancashire Road, A49 Ashton Road, A49 High Street and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the installation of a new electricity mains cable.
