Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic  Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE AND MALLING AREA

A20 London Road, Wrotham (SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out a 30mph will be imposed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 London Road, Wrotham, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 110 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be restricted to 30mph to allow a new electric connection to be carried out. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Blackmans Lane, Hadlow (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blackmans Lane, Hadlow, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 28 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bourne Nursery. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road, Blackmans Lane and vice versa.

 

Hamptons Road, Hadlow, TN11 9RE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hamptons Road, Hadlow, on or after 9th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Puttenden Road to the junction of Oxenhoath Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hamptons Road, Claygate Lane, Puttenden Road, Higham Lane, Ashes Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 High Street, A26 The Square, A26 High Street, A26 Maidstone Road, Common Road, Carpenters Lane, Hamptons Road and vice versa.

 

High Street, Wouldham, ME1 3XD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new gas main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Wouldham on or after 11th January 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Ferry Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-way order on High Street will be suspended to allow access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, School Lane, Pilgrims Way, Knowle Road and vice versa.

 

Nepicar Lane, Wrotham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nepicar Lane, Wrotham, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Pilgrims Way and A20 London Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Wrotham Water Road, Ford Lane, A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, Nepicar Lane and vice versa.

 

New Wharf Road, Tonbridge, TN9 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Wharf Road, Tonbridge, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Crown Building Car Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-Way order on New Wharf Road will be suspended to allow access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Wharf Road, B2260 High Street, Bradford Street and vice versa.

 

Smithers Lane, East Peckham, TN12 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fire hydrant exchange works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Smithers Lane, East Peckham, on or after 20th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Pattenden Gardens. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Wrotham Heath Roundabout, St. Marys Platt (SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric cabling works to be carried out a 30mph speed limit to be imposed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Wrotham Heath Roundabout, St. Marys Platt, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 29 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be restricted to 30mph for the entirety of the roundabout, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
