ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bicester, Oxford Road, A41 North and South Bound

Prohibition of Through Traffic

  • Date of Order: 6/1/2025
  • Coming into force: 16/1/2025

This Order is being introduced because of re-surfacing works as part of the Symmetry Park development on the A41, which are anticipated to take 2 weeks to complete, working weekdays between 09:00pm–05:00am. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in part of A41 Oxford Road North and South Bound carriage ways from M40 Junction 9 to Bicester Park and Ride roundabout.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic by the closure is Vendee Drive, A4095, Chesterton, B430 Northampton Road, Weston-on-the-Green, A34 and Vice Versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
