Wiltshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Closure

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Hyde Lane (Part), Marlborough; from its property known as Westalls Meadow for approximately 50m in a north westerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out boundary box replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Hyde Lane (unaffected length) – Frees Avenue – Kingsbury Street – High Street and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025 and the closure will be required until 22 January 2025. For further information please contact Thames Water on 03339 960672.

B) C104 (Part), Charlton; from its property known as New House Farm for approximately 1.1km in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and other associated works. Alternative route via C104 (unaffected length) – C103 – B4040 – C76 – C67 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 23 January 2025. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0100.

C) C38 (Part), Beechingstoke and Woodborough; from its junction with C240 to its junction with C261 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree safety works. Alternative route via C38 (unaffected length) – C8 – C52 – A345 – C38 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 23 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 2 days. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0105.

D) Lye Common, Christian Malford; from its junction with Station Road to its junction with C132 to enable Gigaclear to carry out blockage blockage clearance works and other associated works. Alternative route via C132 – West End – Foxham Road – Station Road and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 3 days. For further information please contact Gigaclear on 01865 591131.

E) Seagry Road (Part), Great Somerford; from its junction with Dauntsey Road to its junction with Broadfield Farm to enable The Electricity Network Company Limited to carry out excavation/installation of LV cable works and other associated works. Alternative route via Seagry Road (unaffected length) – Five Thorn Lane – C82 – Startley Road – West Street and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025 and the closure will be required until 31 January 2025. For further information please contact The Electricity Network Company Limited on 03453 223322.

F) Burdett Street (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Back Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out plot 1: 1x32 MDPE domestic metered temporary building supply to be retained off 3” CI offsite. Alternative route via C34 (unaffected length) – C28 – C414 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 23 January 2025 and the closure will be required for 5 days. For further information please contact Thames Water on 0333 9963454.

G) C34 (Part), Purton; from its junction with C414 for a distance of approximately 200m in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing, ironwork adjustments and other associated works. Alternative route via C34 (unaffected length) – C28 – C414 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 23 January 2025 and the closure will be required weekdays only between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 until 28 January 2025. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0105.

Orders A) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

A) Footpath 1 (Part), Hullavington; from its junction with Footpath 33, Hullavington for a distance of approximately 105m in a northerly direction to enable construction works for new residential housing development.

No alternative route is available.

B) Footpath 29, Hullavington; from its junction with Footpath 33, Hullavington for its entire length to enable construction works for new residential housing development.

No alternative route is available.
