Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A225 Eynsford Road, Eynsford, DA4 0BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 Eynsford Road, Eynsford, on or after 9th January 2025 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cameron House.

The alternative route is via A225 Eynsford Road, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill/London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout/London Road, A25 Maidstone Road/Sevenoaks Road/Borough Green Road/Ightham Bypass/Sevenoaks Road/Maidstone Road/High Street/Seal Road, A225 Otford Road/Sevenoaks Road/Station Road/Shoreham Road/Station Road/High Street/Eynsford Road and vice versa.

 

B2027 Clinton Lane, Bough Beech, TN8 7PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Clinton Lane, Bough Beech, on or after 12th January 2025 for up to 1 night between 00:01hrs and 04:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Open View Farm and Chiddingstone House.

The alternative route is via B2027 Clinton Lane/Chequers Hill, Hever Road, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Hartfield Road, A264 Colestock Road, East Grinstead Road/Watch Oak Hill/Ashurst Hill/Ashurst Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road/Spring Hill/Saints Hill/New Road/High Street, B276 Penshurst Road/Penshurst Lane, B2027 Hildenborough Road/Stocks Green Road/Rings Hill, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, Weald Interchange/A225 Riverhill/Tonbridge Road, Victoria Road, Argyle Road, A224 Amherst Hill, London A25 Worships Hill/Westerham Road/Vicarage Hill/ Westerham Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2027 Bough Beech Road and vice versa.

 

Bower Lane, Knatts Valley  TN15 6XS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane, Knatts Valley, on or after 23rd January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Littlehurst Farm Bungalow.

The alternative route is via A225 High Street/Station Road/Shoreham Road, Pilgrims Way East, Row Dow, Birchin Cross Road and vice versa.

 

Bradbourne Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 3TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bradbourne Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 5 days between 07.00hrs and 19.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between numbers 2 and 12.

The alternative route is via Bradbourne Road, Amherst Road, St Johns Road, A225 St Johns Hill and vice versa.

 

Brocas Road, Hever, TN8 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brocas Road, Hever, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Brocas Cottages.

The alternative route is via Brocas Road, Hever Road, Uckfield Lane, Chippens Lane, Newhouse Farm Lane and vice versa.

 

Chevening Road, Chipstead, TN13 2HZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chevening Road, Chipstead, on or after 11th January 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between 2 Chevening Road and Homedean Road.

The alternative route is via High Street, Chipstead Lane, Bullfinch Lane, A224 London Road/Morants Court Road/Morants Court Roundabout, B2211 Sundridge Road, Chevening Cross Road, Chevening Road and vice versa.

 

Furnace Lane, Cowden, TN8 7JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Furnace Lane, Cowden, on or after 20th January 2025 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Little Basing Farm.

The alternative route is via Furnace Lane, Holtye Hill, A264 Holtye Road, Shepherds Grove Lane, Smithers Lane, Furnace Lane and vice versa.

 

Hever Road, Edenbridge, TN8 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of SES Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Road, Edenbridge, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Brocas Oast.

The alternative route is via Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill, B226 Hartfield Road, B2026 Mill Hill, Hever Road and vice versa.

 

Mapleton Road, Four Elms, TN16 1PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mapleton Road, Four Elms, on or after 14th January 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Puddledock Lane.

The alternative route is via Mapleton Road, B2026 Hosey Common Road/Main Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road and vice versa.

 

Park Place, Bessels Green, TN13 2PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Place, Bessels Green, on or after 11th January 2025 for up to 1 day between 10.00hrs and 14.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A25 Westerham Road.

The alternative route is via Park Place, Bessels Green Road, A25 Westerham Road and vice versa.

 

Roodlands Lane, Four Elms, TN8 6PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of SES Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roodlands Lane, Four Elms, on or after 8th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 3 Blackmoor Cottages.

The alternative route is via Homewood Road, B2027 Bough Beech Road and vice versa.

 

Shelleys Lane, Knockholt, TN14 7PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shelleys Lane, Knockholt, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 3 days between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Shelleys House.

The alternative route is via Shelleys Lane, Burlings Lane, Main Road and vice versa.

 

Smarts Hill, Penshurst, TN11 8EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Smarts Hill, Penshurst, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Beckford Oast.

The alternative route is via B2188 New Road, Smarts Hill and vice versa.

 

Sundridge Hill, Sundridge, TN14 7PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sundridge Hill, Sundridge, on or after 8th January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Knockholt Lodge.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Brasted Hill, Brasted Lane, Main Road and vice versa.

 

Sundridge Road, Ide Hill, TN14 6JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sundridge Road, Ide Hill, on or after 14th January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Emmetts Lane for approximately 660M southwards.

The alternative route is via Ide Hill Roundabout to B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill/Goathurst Common/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road, Church Road, Ide Hill Road and vice versa.

 

Walters Green Road, Penshurst, TN11 8HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Walters Green Road, Penshurst, on or after 23rd January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Yeomans.

The alternative route is via Sandfield Road, B2188 Spring Hill, Chafford Lane, Walters Green Road and vice versa.

 

Various Roads, Sevenoaks (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of highway improvement works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below. Please note that only one road will be closed at any time.

This Order takes effect on or after 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. This programme is subject to weather and other factors and may therefore change; every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the programmed dates and duration. Changes will be notified locally and signposted on site.

Brittains Lane – Entire length
2 nights between 20:00hrs and 6:00hrs
Diversion is via Brittains Lane, Braeside Avenue, A224 London Road and vice versa.

Hillingdon Avenue - Near junction with The Crescent
2 nights between 20:00hrs and 6:00hrs
Diversion is via Seal Hollow Road, A25 Seal Road, Hillingdon Avenue and vice versa.

Lambarde Road - Near junction with Lake View Road
2 nights between 20:00hrs and 6:00hrs
Diversion is via Lakeview Road, Robyns Way, Betenson Avenue and vice versa.

The Crescent – At the junction with Seal Hollow Road
2 nights between 20:00hrs and 6:00hrs
Diversion is via Seal Hollow Road, Hillingdon Avenue and vice versa.

A225 St Johns Hill - Between Wickenden Road and Hospital Road
5 nights between 20:00hrs and 6:00hrs
Diversion for vehicles under 4.5m – A225 Dartford Road to B2020 St Botolph’s Road to A224 London Road to A225 Amherst Hill to A25 Bradbourne Vale Road to A225 Otford Road and vice versa.
