Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
Chapmans Hill, Meopham, DA13 0QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapmans Hill, Meopham, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of A227 Wrotham Road.
The alternative route is via Chapmans Hill, A227 Wrotham Road, Hodsoll Street, Rosemary Lane and vice versa.
Churchill Road, Gravesend, DA11 0LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Churchill Road, Gravesend, on or after 20th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 10.
The alternative route from the junction with Cecil Road is via Cecil Road, Salisbury Road and Pelham Road South. The alternative route from the junction with Pelham Road South is via Pelham Road South, B261 Old Road West and Cecil Road.
Cutmore Street, Gravesend, DA11 0PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cutmore Street, Gravesend, on or after 20th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2.
The alternative route is via Cutmore Street, Spencer Street, Cambrian Grove, Arthur Street and vice versa.
Foxendown Lane & Oakenden Road, Meopham, DA13 0BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxendown Lane and Oakenden Road, Meopham, on or after 22nd January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Woodside to Brimstone Hill.
The alternative route is via Foxendown Lane, Whitehill Road, Horns Oak Road, Woodhill, Brimstone Hill, Oakenden Road and vice versa.
High Street, Gravesend, DA11 0AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of water main repairs, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Gravesend, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed. There will be a suspension of the one way order to allow access.
The road will be closed at the side of 1 New Road.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Northfleet Green, Northfleet, DA13 9PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northfleet Green, Northfleet, on or after 15th January 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Abbotsview.
The alternative route is via Northfleet Green, Downs Road, Broad Ditch Road, New Barn Road and vice versa.
Tanyard Hill, Shorne, DA12 3EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tanyard Hill, Shorne, on or after 9th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Court Lodge and the Tanyard.
The alternative route is via The Street, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, Pear Tree Lane, Tanyard Hill and vice versa.
Telegraph Hill, Higham, ME3 7DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Telegraph Hill, Higham, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sir John Falstaff.
The alternative route is via A226 Gravesend Road, Forge Lane, School Lane, Hermitage Road, Telegraph Hill and vice versa.
Thames Way, Gravesend, DA11 9QY (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of street lighting works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A226 Thames Way, Northfleet, on or after 10th January 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.00hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be suspended between Sewage works turning and B262 Springhead Road.
