NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 AND 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intends to make an order the effect of which:

Dundry Lane, Winford North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 13 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-225

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to test poles. This order will become operative on the 13 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Valley Way Road, Nailsea, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Order 2025

Date coming into force: 29 January 2025 – Ref: 724-58

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 29 January 2025, anticipated to be of 8 days in duration.

The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule: Valley Way Road – Entire Extents.

Alternative Routes: Southfield Road, Clevedon Road and vice versa

Birdcombe Close, Nailsea, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Order 2025

Date coming into force: 29 January 2025 – Ref: 724-59

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 29 January 2025, anticipated to be of 8 days.

The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule: Birdcombe Close – Entire Extents.

Alternative Routes: Greenfield Crescent, Southfield Road, Clevedon Road and vice versa

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Order 2025

Date coming into force: 10 February 2025 – Ref: 724-60

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 10 February 2025, anticipated to be of 8 days.

The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 AND 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Highdale Road, Clevedon North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 18 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-223

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide safe access to pole for new fibre supply. This order will become operative on the 18 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Long Ashton North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025

Date coming into force: 6 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-100

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Epic Systems Corporation (subject to obtaining planning permission). This order will become operative on the 6 January 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Footpaths LA12/12, LA12/12c, LA12/12d, LA12/11, LA12/39 for their full extent

Footpath Uplands, Nailsea North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into force: 13 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-200

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for trenching for supply alteration. This will become operative on the 13 January 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 17 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 7 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-210

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to connect a new supply. This will become operative on the 7 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on 8 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8.30am to 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on 9 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am to 3.30pm. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on 10 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am to 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Date coming into force: 9 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-216

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to gain safe access to an underground structure. This will become operative on 9 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 night in duration from 7pm to 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 10 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-227

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access a pole for new overhead cabling. This will become operative on 10 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am to 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 8 January 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-229

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to change a stop tap and rebuild gully. This will become operative on 8 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpaths AX16/2/10 Congresbury North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2024 – Extension of Order – Ref: SW24.25-080

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Kier Group plc for the Environment Agency for earthworks to the riverbank berm. This order came into force on 22 July 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The Secretary of State has now granted an extension of this closure until 11 September 2026. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
