What is happening?
EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U2133 Bolton Road, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Bolton Road – from the junction with A259 Memorial roundabout to the junction with U2135 Lismore Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Trinity Trees, Seaside Road – U2146 Cavendish Place – U2149 Ashford Road – A259 Susans Road – U2144 Pevensey Road – U2135 Lismore Road.
The Order commences 13 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 15 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2106 Terminus Road, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Terminus Road – from the junction with B2106
Grand Parade to the junction with A259 Trinity Trees.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Trinity Trees – B2106 Devonshire Place, Grand Parade and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 January and 1 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2106 Grand Parade, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Grand Parade – from the junction with U2138 Trinity Place to the junction with U2145 Elms Avenue.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with alternative routes for through traffic via (1) B2106 Grand Parade, Devonshire Place – A259 South Street, Gildredge Road, Ashford Road, Susans Road, Seaside – B2106 Beach Road, Sidley Road, Royal Parade, Marine Parade, Grand Parade, or (2)
B2106 Grand Parade – B2103 Grand Parade,
King Edwards Parade, Dukes Drive, Upper Dukes Drive, Warren Hill – A259 East Dean Road, Church Street, High Street, The Goffs, Upperton Road – A2040 The Avenue, Upper Avenue – A2021 Bedfordwell Road, Whitley Road – A259 Seaside – B2106 Beach Road, Sidley Road, Royal Parade, Marine Parade, Grand Parade and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 January and 28 February 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
