What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Havering proposes to make amendments to the following Order as follows under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING (PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) (AMENDMENT No.*) ORDER 202* PTO 1242
1. The general effect of the Order will be to:-
2. Introduce electric vehicle charging parking places for the purpose of charging electric vehicles in On Street Parking Places in the location detailed below. Where necessary, existing parking places will be reduced or removed to accommodate the new charging bays.
i) Six electric vehicle charging parking places served by three charging points are provided for use by electric vehicles in Hilldene Avenue removing the existing pay to park bays
3. The electric vehicle charging parking places are to operate at any time for use by electric vehicles only. A maximum stay of 6 hours will be enforced during the charging hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Sunday during which an electric vehicle is required to be receiving a charge from the electric vehicle charging point in order to park legally. A no return within 2 hours restriction applies. Outside the hours of 8am to 6pm during which an electric vehicle is required to be receiving a charge from the electric vehicle charging point in order to park legally, no maximum stay restriction applies.
Disabled badge holders displaying a blue badge in an electric vehicle are still required to use the badge in conjunction with an electric vehicle charging parking place whilst connected to a charging point. During the hours of 8am to 6pm electric vehicle charging parking places will not be exempt from parking tariffs and motorists will need to pay for the power used.
Outside the hours of 8am to 6pm electric vehicle charging parking places will be exempt from parking tariffs but motorists will need to pay for the power used.

Any objections or other representations about any of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Highways Traffic and Parking Group Manager Havering Town Hall, Main Road, Romford RM1 3BB until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
