ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(MIREY BUTT LANE, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 14) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow works to renew existing chamber to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Mirey Butt Lane, outside 13 Mirey Butt Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Mirey Butt Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Simpsons Lane, Sycamore Avenue, Mirey Butt Lane and vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th January 2025 at 08:00 hours until 17th January 2025 at 18:00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(ACKWORTH ROAD & PURSTON LANE, ACKWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER (NO 1) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for A1 improvement works to be carried out as follows:-
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Ackworth Road & Purston Lane, Ackworth from the Beverley Arms roundabout towards Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed lengths of Ackworth Road & Purston Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Car Diversion – A639 Doncaster Road, Hardwick Road, Ackworth Road, Mill Hill Road, A645 Southgate, South Baileygate, Bondgate, Knottingley Road, A162 Great North Road southbound to Ferrybridge services roundabout. HGV Diversion – A6201, Wrangbrook Lane, A638 Hemsworth A1 Link Road, A628 Hemsworth Bypass, Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road then join A639 car diversion back towards A162 Great North Road back to Ferrybridge roundabout.
ORDER TO BE TEMPORARILY REVOKED: West Yorkshire Metropolitan County Council (Traffic Regulation) No.9 Order 2009, the section relating to A628, B6421, Ackworth Road/Purston Lane.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd, 5th & 6th January 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
(BLEASDALE AVENUE, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 2) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for the refurbishment of traffic signals to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bleasdale Avenue, Knottingley at the junction of Hill Top. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bleasdale Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Forge Hill Lane, Belvoir Drive & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th January 2025 to 17th March 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(LADYBALK LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 11) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow replacement of manhole frame and cover works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ladybalk Lane, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ladybalk Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Monkhill Lane, Monkhill Avenue, Skinner Lane, vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th January 2025 at 21:00 hours until 14th January 2025 at 01:00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(THE GREEN, SOUTH KIRKBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 10) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow civils work and safe parking for work vehicles to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: The Green, South Kirkby. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of The Green.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, Carr Lane and vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th January 2025 until 17th January 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
