What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(YARLSIDE ROAD, BARROW IN FURNESS)

(TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a northerly direction along that section of Yarlside Road, Barrow in Furness from its junction with the A5087, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 105m.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 7th January 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day, during the hours of 0930 and 1530 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
