Notice of Public Path Diversion Order
Highways Act 1980

Parish of Falstone (Public Footpath No 23)
Diversion Order (No 3) 2024
The above Order was made on 11th December 2024 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order will be as follows:–
Public Footpath No 23 (Parish of Falstone)
To extinguish the Public Footpath from a point 460 metres north-west of Kielder Waterside Visitor Centre (NY 6574 8813) in a generally northerly direction for a distance of 735 metres to a point 220 metres east of Mounces Viewpoint (NY 6603 8864).
To extinguish the Public Footpath from a point 200 metres north-east of Mounces Viewpoint (NY 6602 8875) in a generally north-westerly direction for a distance of 445 metres to point 400 metres south-west of Hawkhirst Adventure Camp (NY 6565 8898).
To create a 2 metre wide footpath from a point a point on the Kielder Lakeside Way, 460 metres north-west of Kielder Waterside Visitor Centre (NY 6574 8813) in a general northerly direction for a distance of 765 metres to a point 220 metres east of Mounces Viewpoint (NY 6603 8864).
To create a 2 metre wide footpath from a point on the Kielder Lakeside Way, 200 metres north-east of Mounces Viewpoint (NY 6602 8875) in a generally north-westerly direction for a distance of 500 metres to a point 400 metres south-west of Hawkhirst Adventure Camp (NY 6564 8898).
These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices of The Queens Hall, Beaumont Street, Hexham, NE46 3LS and at Main Reception, County Hall, Morpeth, during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased. They can also be viewed online at https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/ About/Maps/Public-rights-of-way.aspx.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Barbara McCabe, Legal Officer at the address shown below or to Barbara.McCabe@northumberland.gov.uk not later than 30th January 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Northumberland County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
