TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -

PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days
from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as
stated below.  The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. 
There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the
discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage
to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access
allowing the necessary works to be undertaken.  Access will be maintained for cyclists,
pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those
affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 6th January 2025 and
will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the
direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried
out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.  However, it is expected the Order will
only be operative for the duration as stated in below.

Description of restriction :Traffic will be prohibited from travelling at no more than 30mph on A41, South of Narrow Lane to Hatton road, Hinstock
Date & Duration:  8th January 2025 for 4 days             
Purpose  New Water Connection - 30mph speed reduction during the works.            
Alternative Route : Not applicable

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Admirals Way, Shifnal
Date & Duration:     12th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30         
Purpose:Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - 2 no. Manhole Frames and Covers         
Alternative Route : Drayton Road, Balfour Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4194 between Kinlet and B4199
Date &  Duration: 12th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30         
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-road closure required for jetting to clear duct to long length            
Alternative Route : B4363, B4199, B4194

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Broome Road, Aston on Clun
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 between 08:00 to 06:00          
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Small Hydrant Install    Alternative Route : B4368, B4367, B4369

Description of restriction:    Traffic will be prohibited from using Cartway, Bridgnorth. At the same time the one way on Friars Street will be reversed to allow access to Lower Cartway
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 for 1 day             
Purpose: Road Closure-Cadent - Cadent-Laying new gas service      Alternative Route : Postern, West Castle Street, New Road, Underhill Street, River Side, Southwell Riverside, Friars Street

Description of restriction:    Traffic will be prohibited from using Harlescott Lane, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration:     11th January 2025 from 23:30 to 08:20 12th January 2025     
Purpose: Road Closure - Network Rail, level crossing maintenance.  Alternative Route : Battlefield Way, Battlefield Link Road, Battlefield Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using High Street, Church Stretton
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 for 1 day             
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach - Locate and clear blockages      Alternative Route : B5477, A49, Sandford Avenue

Description of restriction:    Traffic will be prohibited from using Hope Bagot Lane, Hope Bagot
Date & Duration: 6th January 2025 for 3 days             
Purpose:  Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Hydrant Renew Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East continuing East, B4214, A4117, Caynham Road, Hope Bagot Lane

Description of restriction:  Traffic will be prohibited from using Knowles Lane, Welshampton
Date & Duration:  6th January 2025 for 26 days             
Purpose:  Road Closure - Repairs to a disused rail abutment          
Alternative Route : A495, B5063, Northwood Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Middleton Road, Oswestry
Date & Duration: 6th January 2025 for 3 days             
Purpose:  Road Closure - New Water Connection            
Alternative Route : Middleton Road, Cabin Lane, College Road, B5479, A5, Unnamed road North, Aston Square, Unnamed road West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Grindle Road, Kemberton
Date &  Duration:  7th January 2025 for 2 days between 09:00 to 16:00            
Purpose: Dig down, locate block and repair possible broken pipe. Alternative Route : Mill Lane, Unnamed road South

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Red Bank Road, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 6th January 2025 for 12 days             
Purpose: Take down and rebuild retaining wall.             
Alternative Route : Salisbury Road, Dalelands Estate

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Badger Lane, Badger
Date & Duration: 9th January 2025 for 2 days between 09:30 to 14:45             
Purpose:Carriageway repairs            
Alternative Route : Badger Lane, Snowdon Road, Burnhill Green Road, Unnamed road West to Badger

Description of restriction:   Traffic will be prohibited from using Station road, Rhosweil 
Date & Duration:11th January 2025 for 2 days             
Purpose: Road Closure - New Connection into development.            
Alternative Route : Old Chirk Road, B5070 

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Swan Hill, Ellesmere
Date &  Duration: 12th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30        
Purpose: Road Closure - New customer service            
Alternative Route : A528, Unnamed road North East through Trench, Unnamed road South through Coptiviney, Unnamed road South West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Lane between Exfords Green and A49
Date &  Duration: 10th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30         
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required for safe access to pole test.      
Alternative Route : A49, Unnamed road North West through Stapleton towards Exfords Green, Unnamed road East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between A488 and Hemford
Date &  Duration: 7th January 2025 for 3 days             
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Small Sluice Valve Renew           
Alternative Route : A488, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road South West through Bentlawnt

Description of restriction:Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between A4169 and Shaw lane, Shifnal
Date & Duration: 6th January 2025 for 3 days             
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Sluice Valve Rebuild chamber            
Alternative Route : A4169, Unnamed road North West through The Wyke

Description of restriction:    Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between B4364 and Stoke St Milborough
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 for 1 day           
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water- Defect Remedial Reinstatement
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North through Stokegorse, Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road South West through Haytons Bent, Fishmore Road, A4117, B4364, Unnamed road North

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Preston Gubbals Road and A528, Bomere Heath
Date & Duration: 6th January 2025 from 20:00 to 06:00 7th January 2025         
Purpose: Road Closure - Freedom Fibre, Install 115 metres of track between poles, test rod and rope, subduct, cable and reactive civils. 
Alternative Route : A528, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road East

Description of restriction:    Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Shrewsbury Road and B5067, Leaton
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 from 22:30 to 05:15 13th January 2025       
Purpose:  Road Closure - Network Rail, level crossing works.       
Alternative Route : Shrewsbury Road, Baschurch Road, B5067

Description of restriction:Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between The A458 and B4393, Rowton
Date &  Duration:  6th January 2025 for 3 days             
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, hydrant rebuild chamber.            
Alternative Route : A458, B4393, Rowton Avenue

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road from B0563 to Stanton Upon Hine Heath
Date & Duration: 9th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30         
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole test.            
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, A53, B5063

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Stanwardine in the Wood
Date & Duration: 7th January 2025 for 3 days             
Purpose: Road Closure - Long Comm pipe Renew            
Alternative Route : A528, Unnamed road West towards Lower Hordley, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road East

Description of restriction:    Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Weston Lullingfields
Date & Duration:10th January 2025 for 5 days             
Purpose: Road Closure - Test, rod and rope, cabling and subduct works.         
Alternative Route : B4397, A5, Unnamed road North East through Rednal and North towards Hordley, Unnamed road South East through Lower Hordley and Bagley

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4379 between Sherrifhales and A5
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30        
Purpose: Road closure-Openreach-Road closure is required for pole test            
Alternative Route : B4379, A41, A5, B4379

Description of restriction:  Traffic will be prohibited from using Elm Walk, Ludlow
Date & Duration:  8th January 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 15:30             
Purpose: Footpath Closure-Openreach-To provide a safe working area for engineers to excavate to provide fibre service to a customer. 
Alternative Route : Hucklemarsh road, Lacy Road, Hucklemarsh Road 

Description of restriction:   Traffic will be prohibited from using Back Lane, Dorrington
Date & Duration: 6th January 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 14:45             
Purpose: Carriageway repairs            
Alternative Route : Church Road, A49

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Market Street, Ellesmere
Date & Duration:  12th January 2025 for 1 day     
Purpose:  Road Closure - Lay new gas service.            
Alternative Route : A495, Scotland Street 

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4214 Clee Hill Road between Burford and Clee Hill
Date & Duration:  12th January 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:30 and 19th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30            
Purpose: Road Closure-openreach-road closure required for pole testing work 
Alternative Route : B4214, A4117, A49, A456, B4214

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between B4214 and Knowbury
Date & Duration: 12th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30 and 19th January 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30           
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach -road closure required for pole testing work           
Alternative Route : B4214, A4117, Caynham road, Unnamed road South East via Hope Bagot
