Notice is given that National Highways Limited (a), Herefordshire Council and Gloucestershire County Council propose to make Orders under section 84(1) (a) and (2) of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on part of the A40 Trunk Road and side roads in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
The effect of the Orders would be to impose a 40 mph speed limit on :
(a) the A40 eastbound and westbound between 9 metres east of the junction with the entrance to Huntley Industrial Estate and 92 metres southeast of the junction with The Oaks.
(b) Barrel Lane from 205 metres northeast of the A40 to its junction with the A40.
A copy of the draft Orders, a plan, and a statement of National Highways’ reasons for proposing the Orders to be made may be inspected during normal office hours at Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Hereford Customer Service Centre, Blue School House, Blue School Street, Hereford, HR1 2LX.
They may also be obtained from Business Services, National Highways, 930 Aztec West, Bristol, BS32 4SR or by e-mailing southwestttro@nationalhighways.co.uk, quoting reference NHSW 01/24
Anyone wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send, not later than 21 January 2025 or within 21 days from the date of first publication of this notice, if that period expires later, a written statement of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to National Highways at the address above, quoting reference NHSW 01/24.
