Picketts Lane (D355) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 25 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Picketts Lane (D355) Salfords which extends from its junction with Axes Lane (C65) for 450m in a southwards direction.
Alternative Route – Picketts Lane (D355), Crossoak Lane (D356), New House Lane (D357) and Axes Lane (C65) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Ebbisham Lane (D1134) Walton On The Hill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 25 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ebbisham Lane (D1134) Walton On The Hill which extends from its junction with Hurst Road (C55) to its junction with Motts Hill Lane (X25173).
Alternative Route – No diversion route available.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2024
On 25 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne which extends from its junction with Outwood Lane (B2032) to its junction with Pine Walk (D1076) and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.
Alternative Route – Rectory Lane (B278), Manor Hill (B278), Woodmansterne Street (D1072), Chipstead Way (D1074) and Outwood Lane (B2032) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out cleaning underground structure, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion.
B269 High Street and B2025 Detillens Lane, Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

1. the entire length of B269 High Street, Limpsfield. Alternative Route – C81 Bluehouse Lane, C81 Granville Road, C81 Gresham Road, C81 Station Road East, C81 Snatts Hill and A25 Westerham Road;
2. that length of B2025 Detillens Lane, Limpsfield which extends from its junction with B269 High Street to its junction with D476 Padbrook. Alternative Route – C81 Bluehouse Lane, C81 Granville Road, C81 Gresham Road, C81 Station Road East, C81 Snatts Hill, A25 Westerham Road and B2025 Detillens Lane.
A217 Reigate Road (Southbound) and D336 Mill Lane, Hookwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate safety improvements works and/or resurfacing works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Whilst the works are taking place, access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
A217 Clockwise Alternative Route: A217 Reigate Road, right turn to A2044 Woodhatch Road, Right turn to A23 Brighton Road, right at Longbridge Roundabout To A217 Reigate Road, right at Hookwood Roundabout to A217 Reigate Road; A217 Anticlockwise Alternative Route: left at Hookwood Roundabout to A217 Reigate Road, left at Longbridge Roundabout to A23 Brighton Road, left turn to A2044 Woodhatch Road, left turn to A217 Reigate Road; Mill Lane Clockwise Alternative Route: D336 Horse Hill to D336 Lee Street, right turn to D334 Vicarage Lane, right turn to A23 Brighton Road, right at Longbridge Roundabout to A217 Reigate Road, right at Hookwood Roundabout to A217 Reigate Road; Mill Lane Anticlockwise Alternative Route: Left at Hookwood Rounabout to A217 Reigate Road, Left at Longbridge Roundabout to A217 A23 Brighton Road, Left turn to D334 Vicarage Lane, left turn to D336 Lee Street to D336 Mill Lane; Right turn into Mill Lane from A217: HGVs will be directed to Westvale Park Roundabout to perform a u-turn and follow southbound diversion route. 1. that length of the southbound carriageway of A217 Reigate Road, Hookwood which extends from its junction with the access road leading to Hookwood House southwards to the southern edge of the central reservation adjacent to the Hookwood Culvert and where the dual carriageway road becomes single carriageway;
2. that length of D336 Mill Lane, Hookwood which extends from its junction with A217 Reigate Road eastwards for a distance of 45m.
B2430 Kingston Road, Leatherhead and C54 Brockham Lane, Brockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works, surface dressing and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

A245 By-Pass Road and A245 Kingston Road roundabout; Anticlockwise from A245 Kingston Road Roundabout Alternative Route – A245 Kingston Road roundabout, A245 By-Pass Road, A243 By-Pass Road Roundabout, A243 By- Pass Road, A244 Oxshott Road and B2430 Oxshott Road;
2. that length of C54 Brockham Lane, Brockham which extends from its junction with A25 Reigate Road to its junction with The Borough. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 7am and 7pm. Alternative Route – A25 Reigate Road, C57 Station Road, C57 Old Reigate Road, C57 The Street, C57 Snowerhill Road, C57 Tapners Road, C58 Bunce Common Road, C57 Shellwood Road, C54 Middle Street and C54 Brockham Lane.
A217 Dovers Green Road, Reigate and D1171 Albury Road, Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

2. that length of D1171 Albury Road, Merstham which extends from its junction with Bletchingley Road to a point 20m south of its junction with Southcote Road. Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “Berry Hill” to the northwestern property boundary line of “Orchard House” and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar.
Alternative Route – Farm Lane (C56), Headley Road (C56), Tilley Lane (C56), Clay Lane (C56), Church Lane (C56), Tot Hill (B2033), Leech Lane(B2033), Mill Way (B2033), Reigate Road (B2033), By-Pass Road (A24), Leatherhead Road (A24), The Street (A24) and Park Lane (D2628) or; Chalk Lane (X15245), Oaken Coppice (D2627) and Park Lane (D2628).
This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out installing new telegraph poles, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:30am and 2:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 4) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood which extends from its junction with Alcocks Lane (X25224) to its junction with Brighton Road (A217) and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024” in its entirety.
Alternative Route – Clockwise: Waterhouse Lane (C135), Bonsor Drive (B2032), Brighton Road (A217), Reigate Road (A240), Tattenham Way (B2221) and Brighton Road (A217). Anti clockwise: Brighton Road (A217), Bonsor Drive (B2032) and Waterhouse Lane (C135).
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out replacing telegraph pole, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Deepdene Gardens (D2834) and Moores Road (D2834) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Deepdene Gardens (D2834) Dorking which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “4 Deepdene Gardens” for 25m in a northwestward direction and; (b) Moores Road (D2834) Dorking which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “6 Moores Road” to its junction with Deepdene Gardens (D2834).
Alternative Route – Deepdene Gardens (D2834), Cotmandene (D2834) and Moores Road (D2834).
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
