HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HIGH STREET/ASHWELL ROAD, HINXWORTH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street/Ashwell Road, Hinxworth from a point 75m north west of its junction with Francis Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 615m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Ashwell Road, Hinxworth Road, Newnham Way, Ashwell Road, Newnham Road, A507 Great North Road, A1 (unnamed road), Edworth Road, Edworth (unnamed road), High Street and Ashwell Road
or via Ashwell Road, High Street, New Inn Road, A1 (unnamed road), A507 Great North Road, Newnham Road, Ashwell Road, Newnham Way, Hinxworth Road and Ashwell Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HITCHIN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:
To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following length of road, except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of road whilst works are in progress:
a) That length of Sun Street, Hitchin from its junction with a point in line with the southern boundary of No.25 Sun Street north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Market Place, a distance of approximately 84m.
An alternative route will be via Market Place, High Street, Bancroft, Hermitage Road, B656 Queen Street, Bridge Street, and Sun Street.
To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of the following lengths of roads, whilst works are in progress:
a) That length of High Street, Hitchin from its junction with Bancroft south westwards to its junction with Market Place, a distance of approximately 130m.
b) That length of Market Place, Hitchin from its junction with High Street south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Sun Street, a distance of approximately 71m.
The existing one way traffic system on High Street, Hitchin from its junction with Market Place north eastwards to its junction with Bancroft, a distance of approximately 150m will be temporarily reversed whilst works are in progress.
The existing one way traffic system on that length of Market Place, Hitchin from its junction with Sun Street north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 71m, will be temporarily reversed whilst works are in progress.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ELBOW LANE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Elbow Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Melne Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Oaks Cross, a distance of approximately 334 m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Melne Road and Oaks Cross.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARGYLE WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER NO.3 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Argyle Way, Stevenage from its junction with A1072 Gunnels Wood Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 161m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A1155 Fairlands Way and Argyle Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Priory Lane, Little Wymondley from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.1 Lawrence Mead northwards for a distance of approximately 55m (“the Road”), except for access.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH/CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE NORTH WEST SIDE OF ‘BLAKENEY HOUSE’, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians/pedal cycles from using the footpath/cycle track situated on the north west side of ‘Blakeney House’, Stevenage from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.50 Minehead Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 42m (“the Footpath/Cycle Track”).
An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the north side of No.50 Minehead Way, the footpath situated on the east side of No.53 Minehead Way, the footway situated on the north side of Minehead Way and the footpath/cycle track situated on the east side of No.49 Minehead Way.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath/Cycle Track.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath/Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN GRESLEY WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with the Magpie Crescent/Edmonds Drive roundabout south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1708m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, A602 (Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), Six Hills Way and Gresley Way.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF GRESLEY WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the west side of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Magpie Crescent south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 424m (“the Cycle Track”).
An alternative route will be via Magpie Crescent, the footpath situated on the north west side of Nos.9-25 Blackberry Mead, Dene Lane and the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.9-20 Lapwing Rise.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 January 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LILLEY BOTTOM ROAD, WHITWELL) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lilley Bottom Road, Whitwell from its junction with Bendish Lane north westwards, northwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 1190m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Lilley Bottom Road, B651 (Horn Hill/Hitchin Road), B652 High Street, Luton Road, Kimpton Road, The Green, Chiltern Green Road, Dane Street, Whiteway Bottom, Lye Hill, Chapel Road, Heath Road, The Heath, Darley Road, Church Road and Lilley Bottom Road.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:
- That length of Raffin Green Lane, Datchworth from its junction with A602 Hooks Cross south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Bury Lane, a distance of approximately 2104m.
An alternative route will be via A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), Bragbury Lane and Bury Lane.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN B656 LONDON ROAD, HITCHIN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B656 London Road, Hitchin from its junction with the A602 Park Way roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the Millfield Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 709m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A602 (Stevenage Road/Wymondley Bypass), the A1(M) and B656 (Church Street/Link Road/Codicote Road/High Street/Hitchin Road/London Road), A602 (Stevenage Road/Wymondley Bypass/Hitchin Road), A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A602 Broadhall Way, B197 (Monkswood Way/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Mardley Hill/ Hertford North Road), and B656 (Church Street/Link Road/Codicote Road/High Street/Hitchin Road/London Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ASHWELL ROAD, BYGRAVE AND THE HOLT, KIMPTON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
That length of Ashwell Road, Bygrave from its junction with Church Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Bygrave Public Footpath No.004, a distance of approximately 1260m.
An alternative route will be via Ashwell Road, Claybush Road, Ashwell Street, Kingsland Way, High Street, West Street, Newnham Way, Ashwell Road, Newnham Road, A505 (Great North Road/North Road), Bygrave Road and Ashwell Road.
That length of The Holt, Kimpton from its junction with Fox Hill north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with B651 Hitchin Road, a distance of approximately 2491m.
An alternative route will be via Fox Hill, Claggy Road, B652 High Street and B651 Hitchin Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into effect at the times indicated by sighns on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (STEVENAGE ROAD, KNEBWORTH) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council, in order to improve road safety, proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions on parts of Stevenage Road, Knebworth as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 19 December 2024 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting North Herts and looking at Ref: NH01424.
