What is happening?

(Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.50) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the Order:

1. To Revoke the No Waiting Mon to Sat 8am to 6pm on both sides of Orwell Road from its junction with High Street, Dovercourt and replace with No Waiting & No Loading at Any Time on both sides of Orwell Road from its junction with High Street to its junction with Milton Road, Dovercourt, Harwich.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile map TM255 315 revision 1 with TM255 315 revision 2.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 10th February 2025.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Jasmine Way, Clacton) (Prohibition of Public Service Vehicles) (Revocation) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order:

1. To Revoke: The prohibition of use of the Highway by Public Service Vehicles.

(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.17) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

2. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in Schedule 1.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road and those in schedule 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12th December 2024 exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. For all enquiries, please contact our Contact Centre on 0345 603 7631.

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

4. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.

Alternative Route

(Wittonwood Road, Frinton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wittonwood Road, Frinton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Connaught Avenue to its junction with School Road a distance of approximately 300m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2025 for 50 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001375222 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via School Road, Fifth Avenue, Upper Second Avenue, Ashlyns Road, Fourth Avenue, Connaught Avenue and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
