(Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.44) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the Order:
1. To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restriction on the North side of Colchester Road, Halstead in a westerly direction from its junction with McDowell Mews for approximately 15.6 metres to adjoin existing No Waiting at Any Time restrictions (across the entrance to the cemetery).
2. To introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm on the North side of Colchester Road, Halstead between existing No Waiting at Any Time at the entrance to the cemetery for approximately 87.85 metres in a westerly direction to adjoin the existing No Waiting at Any Time restriction.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL815 305 revision 0 replaced by TL815 305 revision 1.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 10th February 2025.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Blunts Hall Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Blunts Hall Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 135m north west of its junction with Stevens Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th January 2025 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013319204 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Blunts Hall Road, Dancing Dicks Lane, Witham Road, Terling Road, Powers Hall End, Chipping Hill, Braintree Road, Collingwood Road, Guithavon Valley, Mill Lane, Guithavon Road, Highfields Road, Blunts Hall Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Collingwood Road/Newland Street, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Collingwood Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Ben Sainty Court to its junction with Newland Street a distance of approximately 70m.
2. To temporarily close that length of Newland Street, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Maldon Road for a distance pf approximately 95m in a north easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 23rd January 2025 for 1 night (20:00-05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2374934/EH234934A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, The Grove, The Grove Roundabout, Newland Street and vice versa or Collingwood Road, Avenue Road, The Avenue, Newland Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Iron Bridge Lane, Shalford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Iron Bridge Lane, Shalford in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Braintree Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30048781413 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Jaspers Green, Shalford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Jaspers Green, Shalford in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 540m north west of the junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th January 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFQJ1T7K - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Jaspers Green, Shalford Road, Shalford Green, Church End, Braintree Road, Church End, Kynaston Road, Shalford Road and vice versa.

(North Hill, Chelmsford/Worlds End, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of North Hill, Chelmsford/Worlds End, Hatfield Peverel in the City of Chelmsford & District of Braintree, from a point approximately 565m north west then north east of the junction with Spring Close for a distance of approximately 330m in a north easterly then north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2025 for 3 nights (20:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004211/EP201EH10004215 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while barrier installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Panfield Lane, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Panfield Lane, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 40m south west of its junction with The Gallops for a distance of approximately 90m in a south westerly then southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310761348 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Panfield Lane, Aetheric Road, Rayne Road, Bank Street, Coggeshall Road, Coggeshall Road - Railway Street Junction, Coggeshall Road Roundabout, Marks Roundabout, A120 J A131/B1256 Roundabout, Braintree Bypass - A131, Broad Road Roundabout, Broad Road, Church Lane, Deanery Hill and vice versa.

(The Green, White Notley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Green, White Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Pole Lane for a distance of approximately 75m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th January 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFTKGF8L11JAN - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) & (Newland Street, Witham) (Temporary Suspension of Weight Restriction) (No.18) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping'' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads and in schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting. No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
3. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 Tonne weight restriction in that length of Newland Street, Witham from the junction with Maldon Road to the junction with Collingwood Road for the duration of the closures as detailed in 'The Essex County Council (Bridge Street & Newland Street, Witham) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2009' All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12th December 2024 exact dates will be specified on One.network.. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. (Walthams Cross, Great Bardfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Walthams Cross, Great Bardfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 160m west of its junction with Whinbush Farm Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160623260 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Brook Street, Crown Street, Bridge Street, Bridge End, Finchingfield Road, Bardfield Road, The Green, Green Road, The Causeway, Church Hill, Vicarage Road, Mill Road, Daw Street, Whinbush Farm Road and vice versa.
