What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Birchanger Lane, Birchanger) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Birchanger Lane, Birchanger in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 65m north west of its junction with Birchwood for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410250527 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Stansted Road, Birchanger Roundabout, Bishops Stortford Bypass and vice versa (with access only into Birchanger Lane).

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Braintree Road, Felsted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Braintree Road, Felsted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 90m north of its junction with Watch House Green for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd January 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06059880/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Braintree Road, Watch House Green, Braintree Road, Chelmsford Road, Hartford End, Main Road, Dunmow Road, Chelmsford Road, Dunmow Bypass, Braintree Road, Dunmow Road, Braintree Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road, Great Hallingbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Great Hallingbury in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 360m south west of its junction with Church Lane for a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410246351RC -Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while correlation point fitting works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Latchmore Bank, Lower Road, Stortford Road, Chelmsford Road, Dunmow Road, Old Street Hill, Feathers Hill, High Street, Dunmow Road, Station Road, The Street, Stane Street, Bedlars Green Road, Bedlars Green, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Duton Hill Road, Great Easton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Duton Hill Road, Great Easton in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Wolseys Chase for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06058515/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Dunmow Road, Mill End, Duck Street, Dunmow Road, Duton Hill and vice versa (with access only into Duton Hill Road).

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Green Street, Elsenham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Green Street, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 275m south of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 95m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence

on 6th January 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06060637/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

No alternative route is available (with access only into Green Street).

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Easter Road, Barnston & High Easter Road - Bishops Green - Zc10104, High Easter) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of High Easter Road, Barnston & High Easter Road - Bishops Green -Zc10104, High Easter in the District of Uttlesford, from the junction with Chelmsford Road to the junction with Proverbs Green Road a distance of approximately 2475m.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above length of road for the duration of above closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The closure and restriction is scheduled to commence on 11th January 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2370944 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure and restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road, Dunmow Road, Main Road, Warners Farm Roundabout, Main Road, Penden Hill, Pleshey Road, The Street, Bury Road, Stagden Cross Road, Rehobeth Street, The Street, Barnston Road, High Easter Road - Bishops Green -Zc10104 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Parsonage Lane, Barnston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Lane, Barnston in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with Old Rectory Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410250118 -Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road and vice versa (with access only into Parsonage Lane).

(Tye Green Road/Belmer Road/Claypit Hill, Elsenham & Belmer Road, Stansted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tye Green Road/Belmer Road/Claypit Hill, Elsenham & Belmer Road, Stansted in the District of Uttlesford, from the junction of Fullers Lane to the junction of Burton End Road a distance of approximately 3075m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th January 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30037863348/ EC30041757073/EC30079616901/EC30077141655 -UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while HV pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Burton End Road, Church Road, Chapel Hill, Silver Street, Pines Hill, Stansted Road, Birchanger Roundabout, Bishops Stortford Bypass, M11 J8 Roundabout, Stane Street, The Street, Dunmow Road, Parsonage Road, Waltham Hall Road, Elsenham Road, Hall Road, Fullers Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
