What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2001 ROW BROW, DEARHAM, U2970 HIGH RIGG, BRIGHAM AND C2027 GREYSOUTHEN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

  1. C2001 Row Brow, Dearham, from its junction with the U7056 Shepherds Row, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 250m.

    Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2001 Row Brow, Central Road, A594 Maryport Road, Ellenborough Road, A596, Crosby and C2003 Bullgill.

    Duration: From 15 January 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours

  2. U2970 High Rigg, Brigham, from a point adjacent to No.22 High Rigg, extending in a south westerly for the full extent of the cul-de-sac.

    There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

    Duration: From 6 January 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours

  3. C2027 Greysouthen, from its junction with the C2036, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 290m.

    Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2027, U2190, U2188 and C2036.

    Duration: From 9 January 2025 for approx. 2 days

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 6 January 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
