Ipswich, Temporary Road Closures
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THEA137 CHANCERY ROAD, WEST END ROAD AND B1075 PRINCES STREET. IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the:
- A137 Chancery Road, Ipswich from Princes Street to West End Road
- A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Chancery Road for 127 metres westbound
- B1075 Princes Street, Ipswich from Burrell Road to Civic Drive.
This is to facilitate preventing disorder and safely controlling crowd movement during a football game. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Burrell Road, Stoke Street, Bridge Street, Greyfriars Road, Franciscan Way, Civic Drive, Handford Road, Ranelagh Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 30/12/2024 from 6pm - 11pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Constabulary. Tel: 07583 018447.
