Chorley Road, Amendment To Speed Limit
What is happening?
BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON
THE BOLTON (SPEED LIMIT) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2016 (CHORLEY ROAD, WESTHOUGHTON) (AMENDMENT) (NO. ) ORDER 2024
The Council propose to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, its effect will be as follows:
Revoke:
30 MPH speed limit on Manchester Road and Chorley Road from a point 13 metres east of its junction with Barnabys Road to a point 55 metres east of its junction with Slack Lane.
40 MPH speed limit on A6 Chorley Road from a point 190 metres south-east of the extended south-easterly kerb-line of Marchwood Close to a point 13 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Barnaby's Road.
Add:
40 MPH speed limit on A6 Chorley Road from a point 190 metres south-east of the extended south-easterly kerbline of Marchwood Close to a point 60 meters south-east of the extended south-easterly kerbline of Dicconson Lane.
A copy of the draft Order, together with relevant plans and statement of the reasons may be viewed online at www.bolton.gov.uk/trafficorders and at the One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Bolton during office hours. Any objections or representations should state the grounds they are made on and be sent either by email to highways@bolton.gov.uk or in writing to Highways and Engineering Division, 3rd Floor, Paderborn House, Civic Centre, Bolton BL1 1UA no later than 16th January 2025.
