  • NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent propose to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

  • The general effect of the ‘Disabled Persons Parking Places’ Order would be to:-

    (a) designate parking places in certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice in which vehicles authorised by the Order may be left for any period without charge;

    (b) provide that the parking places would operate “at any time”;

    (c) specify, in respect of the parking places, that disabled persons’ vehicles displaying in the relevant position a disabled person’s badge (commonly referred to as “the Blue Badge”) issued by any local authority under the provisions of the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (England) Regulations 2000 may be left therein;

    (d) provide that certain vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g., to allow persons to board or alight (maximum 2 minutes), to load or unload (maximum 20 minutes), etc;

    (e) revoke the existing, no longer required, disabled parking places outside No. 56 Leighton Gardens, NW10 3PU; No. 48 Maybank Avenue, HA0 2TH; No. 82 Milford Gardens, HA0 2PS; No. 15 Nutfield Road, NW2 7EA; No. 2 Osborne Road, NW2 5DP and No. 3 Osborne Road, NW2 5DR;

    (f) make minor drafting amendments to the existing parking restrictions in certain roads to conform with the current on-site layout.

  • The general effect of the ‘Free Permit Parking Places’ Order would be to:-

    (a) designate free personalised parking places for vehicles displaying a Brent issued personalised disabled persons parking places permit in the streets specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

    (b) provide that the parking places specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice would operate “at any time”;

    (c) re-designate existing free parking places for vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge (commonly referred to as “the Blue Badge”) outside No. 11 Alderton Close, NW10 0EN; No. 9 Ashford Road, NW2 6TP; No. 139 Bridgewater Road, HA0 1AH; No. 13 Chesham Street, NW10 0BH; No. 5 Compton Avenue, HA0 3FD; No. 12 Gladstone Park Gardens, NW2 6JU; No. 31 Holyrood Gardens, HA8 5LS; No. 35 Magnolia Court, HA3 9UB; No. 44 Ravensworth Road, NW10 5NR; No. 44 The Avenue, NW6 7NP and No. 49 Villiers Road, NW2 5PG to free personalised parking places for vehicles displaying a Brent issued personalised disabled persons parking places permit issued under the Order;

    (d) provide that a permit may be issued by the Council on application being made by a disabled person in possession of a Brent issued blue badge and:

    (i) in receipt of the Disability Living Allowance with the higher rate of mobility component for an indefinite period; or

    (ii) in receipt of the higher rate of Attendance Allowance for applicants aged 65 or over; or

    (iii) where the applicant does not drive and has appointed a nominated carer to drive for them, the carer is in receipt of the Carer’s Allowance award;

    (e) revoke the existing, no longer required, personalised disabled parking places outside No. 63 Charterhouse Avenue, HA0 3BU; No. 15 Crawford Street, NW10 8RN; No. 15 College Road, NW10 5EL; No. 32 Newton Road, NW2 6PR; No. 7 Olive Road, NW2 6BX; No. 65 St. Raphael’s Way, NW10 0NU and 16 Talbot Road, HA0 4UE;

    (f) make minor drafting amendments to the existing parking restrictions in certain roads to conform with the current on-site layout.

  • The general effect of the ‘Parking Places’ Orders would be to:-

    (a) increase in length the existing parking places in Leighton Gardens, Maybank Avenue and Osborne Road following the revocation of the no longer required disabled persons parking places;

    (b) increase in length the existing parking places in College Road, Newton Road, Olive Road and Talbot Road following the revocation of the no longer required personalised disabled persons parking places;

    (c) reduce in length the existing parking places in Allington Road, Chantry Crescent and Melrose Avenue to enable for the installation of disabled person’s parking places specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

    (d) reduce in length the existing parking places in Ashford Road, Blenheim Gardens, Brenthurst Road, Burns Road, Chapter Road, Fernbank Avenue, Fishers Way, Goodson Road, Linden Avenue, Mostyn Gardens, Olive Road, Pine Road and St. Paul’s Avenue to

    enable for the installation of personalised disabled persons parking places specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice;

    (e) make minor drafting amendments to the existing parking restrictions in certain roads to conform with the current on-site layout.

  • The general effect of the ‘Doctor Parking Places’ Order would be to:-

    (a) designate parking places outside No. 16 St. Thomas Road, NW10 4AJ, for Harlesden Dental Clinic;

    (b) provide that:

    (i) vehicles displaying a permit issued under the Order may be left in the parking place;

    (ii) the parking place would be in operation as indicated on the sign;

    (iii) a permit may be issued by the Council on application being made by legally qualified medical practitioners;

    (iv) the charge in connection with the issue of permits for the use of the parking place (which consists of one parking bay) would be £150 and that the permits would be valid for a period of 12 months.

  • Copies of the proposed Orders, of relevant Orders of 2001, 2008, 2019 and 2023 (and of any Orders which have amended those Orders), of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of maps which indicate each length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.
