Gloucester Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Remedial Works
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4260, Gloucester Road, Ross-On-Wye, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4260, Gloucester Road, Ross-On-Wye, from the junction with Hill Street to the junction with High Street. Grid Ref: 360009/224092.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via High Street onto Wilton Road, onto A40, onto Gloucester Road.
The said closure is required due to ironwork remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 13th of January 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
