ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C22 Crazy Lane, Sedlescombe)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will continue the closure on the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Crazy Lane – from the junction with A21(T) New Road to the junction with C22 Chapel Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A21(T) New Road – B2244 Tollgate Road – C22 Chapel Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 December 2024 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice and a Temporary Successive Notice under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 December 2024 and 3 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C706 Denbigh Road, Hooe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Denbigh Road – from the Red Lion Pub to the junction with U7110 Jarmans Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C706 Broad Street Green, Green Lane – A259(T) Barnhorn Road, Marsh Road – B2095 Top Road – C706 Denbigh Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 6 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 6 and 19 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U6418 Pannel Lane, Pett)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Pannel Lane – from the junction with C23 Pett Road to the junction with U6418 Hog Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6418 Hog Hill – U6966 Windmill Lane, Workhouse Lane – A259(T) Main Road – U6968 Watermill Lane – C23 Pett Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 7 and 8 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6203 Penhurst Lane, Penhurst)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Penhurst Lane – from the junction with U6117 Old Thatched Lane to the junction with A271 Kitchenham Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6203 Penhurst Lane – C412 Forge Lane, The Forge – C18 Church Road, Hammer Hill – A271 Kitchenham Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 7 and 8 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C18 Hammer Hill/Church Road/Ponts Green, Ashburnham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hammer Hill/Church Road/Ponts Green – from the junction with A271 Kitchenham Road to the junction with C18 Herrings Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A271 Kitchenham Road, Boreham Hill, The Strait – C16 Victoria Road, The Causeway, White Horse Road – C277 North Road, Redpale, Bluekiln Road – C18 Herrings Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 and 31 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U6536 Westcourt Drive, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Westcourt Drive – from the junction with U6534 Collington Avenue to the junction with B2182 Cooden Drive.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2182 Cooden Drive, Wickham Avenue – U6551 Sackville Road, Sackville roundabout – B2182 Marina, Sea Road, Upper Sea Road – A269 Buckhurst Road, Town Hall Square – B2098 Buckhurst Place, Terminus Road, Collington Avenue – U6534 Collington Avenue and vice versa.

The Order commences 6 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 6 and 17 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
