NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDERS HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
1. The Oxfordshire County Council, Great Tew Footpath I No. 1 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024
2. The Oxfordshire County Council, Great Tew Footpaths No. 8 (part), No. 24 & No. 25, Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024
The Diversion Order made on 9th December 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting, as shown on the Order map: -
Great Tew FP1 running from OS Grid Ref SP 3953 2927 south-south-westwards for 363m to SP 3932 2899 and westwards for 66m to SP 3927 2898 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 3953 2927 south-westwards for 230m to SP 3932 2917 and southwards for 208m to SP 3927 2898.
The Creation Order made on 9th December 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding, as shown on the Order map: -
Great Tew FP8 running from OS Grid Ref SP 3941 2996 south-eastwards for 486m via SP 3967 2979 and SP 3971 2978 to the junction of Great Tew FP 9 and BRs 18 and 20 at SP 3984 2976;
Great Tew FP24 running from Great Tew FP 1 at OS Grid Ref SP 3932 2917 west-north-westwards for 27m to the B4022 opposite Butchers Hill at SP 3930 2918;
Great Tew FP25 running from Great Tew FP 1 at OS Grid Ref SP 3953 2927 north-north-westwards for 61m to SP 3950 2932 and north-westwards for 112m to The Lane at SP 3940 2937 opposite Great Tew FP 8. Copies of the Orders, the Order maps and explanatory statement may be:

Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Research & Legal Record, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND at countryside accesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk no later than 31 January 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Orders. The notice period has been extended from 28 to 42 days to allow for the Christmas period.
