What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C195 (Part), Grafton; from its property known as Ivy Cottage to its property known as Mill Farm to enable Thames Water to carry out boundary box exchange and service pipe repair in carriageway. Alternative route via C195 (unaffected length) - C196 - C74 -A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 January 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. B) Buryfield, Lydiard Millicent; from its junction with Stone Lane for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 17 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 4 days. C) C86 (Part), Biddestone; from its junction with Chippenham Lane to its junction with Sawmill Cott to enable Openreach to carry out laying works and other associated works. Alternative route via C86 (unaffected length) - A420 - C180 - C170 -C185 - C159 - C86 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023. D) C67 (Part), Braydon and Purton; from its junction with Ravenroost Road to its junction with C91 to enable Thames Water to carry out a supply installation, service connection works and other associated works. Alternative route via C91 - Ravenroost Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 January 2025 and the closure will be required until 20 January 2025. E) Southcott Road (Part), Pewsey; from outside its property known as No.41 Ball Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair service. Alternative route via Kings Corner and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. F) Anchor Road (Part), Calne; from its junction with The Glebe to its junction with Hillcroft to enable Openreach to carry out civil works in the underground structure and other associated works. Alternative route via Anchor Road (unaffected length) - Brewers Lane - Shelburne Road - A4 - Church Street - Mill Street - Anchor Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. G) C122 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett; from its junction with C76 for a distance of approximately 1.7km in a south easterly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge maintenance works and other associated works. Alternative route via C122 (unaffected length) - A3102 - C76 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 until 17 January 2025. For further information please contact Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd on 0345 711 4141. Orders A) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SPINE ROAD WEST, ASHTON KEYNES) (50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 50mph speed limit on Spine Road West, Ashton Keynes - from a point 500 metres west of its junction with B4696 Ashton Road for a distance of 370 metres in a westerly direction. Deposit copies of the Orders, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may also be seen at Cricklade Library, 113 High Street SN6 6AE during the hours of 2pm to 4pm Monday and Wednesday, 10am to 1pm Tuesday and Saturday, 2pm to 7pm Thursday and 2pm to 5pm Friday until 20 January 2025. Documents can also be viewed online at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations.
