WEST BERKSHIRE - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS multiple notices

What is happening?

WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL                                                            UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING

(FOOTPATH SPEE/37/1 IN THE PARISH OF SPEEN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024                                                    The Council with permission from the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the existing above titled order the effect of which will be to continue to prohibit pedestrians from using the following footpath, namely FOOTPATH SPEE/37/1 from its junction with Footpath SPEE/6/2 to its junction with Footpath SPEE/7/1 The alternative route for all persons affected by the Order is via Bath Rd, Station Rd, Lambourn Rd, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on ornear the footpath, namely for David Wilson Homes to erect residential dwellings at this location. The extension shall continue in place from 18th December 2024 and will remain in force until 17th June 2025 or until works are completed whichever is the sooner.

The alternative route for all persons affected by the Order is via Bath Rd, Station Rd, Lambourn Rd, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the footpath, namely for David Wilson Homes to erect residential dwellings at this location. The extension shall continue in place from 18th December 2024 and will remain in force until 17th June 2025 or until works are completed whichever is the sooner.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
