What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HADHAM ROAD, STANDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hadham Road, Standon from its junction with Standon Public Footpath No.024 south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Hadham Road, Bromley Lane, C15 (unnamed road), The Ford, The Ash, Standon Road, A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road), High Street and Hadham Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF YOUNGSBURY LANE, WADESMILL) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Youngsbury Lane, Wadesmill from a point in line with the western boundary of No.7 Youngsbury Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN END, DANE END) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green End, Dane End from its junction with 3U35 (unnamed road) north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Church Lane, a distance of approximately 713m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Green End, Green End Lane, Wheathampstead Lane, Munden Road and Church Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Archers Green Lane, Tewin from its junction with B1000 Hertford Road north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Churchfield Road, a distance of approximately 1293m. An alternative route will be via B1000 Hertford Road and Churchfield Road.

2. that length of Churchfield Road, Tewin from its junction with B1000 Hertford Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with School Lane, a distance of approximately 1279m.

An alternative route will be via B1000 Hertford Road, Hertford Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Orchard Road, Upper Green, Upper Green Road, Lower Green and School Lane.

3. that length of Hertford Road, Tewin from its junction with Lower Green south eastwards for a distance of approximately 268m. An alternative route will be via Lower Green, School Lane, Churchfield Road, B1000 Hertford Road and Hertford Road.

4. that length of Station Hill/C16 (unnamed road), Westmill from its junction with A10 (unnamed road) north westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 400m. An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass), Mentley Lane West, C16 Great Munden Road, C16 Nasty and C16 (unnamed road).

5. that length of Upper Green, Tewin from its junction with Tewin Hill north westwards to its junction with Orchard Road, a distance of approximately 567m.

An alternative route will be via Upper Green Road, Lower Green, School Lane, Churchfield Road, B1000 Hertford Road, Hertford Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green and Orchard Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Frensham, Cheshunt from its junction with Peakes Way south westwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Dickson, Cheshunt from its junction with Frensham south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 164m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Quincey Road, Ware from its junction with Wulfrath Way north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with A1170 Wadesmill Road, a distance of approximately 623m. An alternative route will be via Wulfrath Way, B1001 Watton Road and A1170 (Baldock Street/Wadesmill Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

1. that length of Watton Road, Datchworth from its junction with Datchworth Green north eastwards to its junction with Hawkins Hall Lane, a distance of approximately 211m.

An alternative route will be via Datchworth Green, Mardleybury Road, B197 (London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Monkswood Way), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross), High Street, Station Road and Watton Road.

2. that length of Whempstead Lane, Ware from its junction with Whempstead Road north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Munden Road, a distance of approximately 1429m.

An alternative route will be via Whempstead Road, A602 Tonwell Bypass, Sacombe Pound and Munden Road.

1. that length of Butlers Hall Lane, Much Hadham/Thorley from its junction
with the A1184 St James Way/Moor Hall Lane East roundabout north
westwards for a distance of approximately 217m.

An alternative route will be via Dig Dag Hill, Hammondstreet Road, Smiths Lane and Appleby Street.

4. that length of The Ridgeway, Ware from its southernmost junction with Heath Drive south westwards, north westwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via Heath Drive.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/ Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/ London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/ Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), the A1(M) and A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass) or via A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), A6129 (Stanborough Road/Broadwater Road), A1000 (Broadwater Road/Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer Road/Hertford Road/ Welwyn Bypass Road), B197 (Great North Road/Mardley Hill/London Road/ Stevenage Road/London Road/Monkswood Way), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/ Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), B197 (Monkswood Way/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road), A1000 (Welwyn Bypass Road/Hertford Road/Bessemer Road/ Mundells/Bessemer Road/Broadwater Road), A6129 (Bessemer Road/ Stanborough Road) and A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/ Cole Green Bypass).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
