ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Whitecross Road, Clevedon Road Weston-Super-Mare,

North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming Into Force: 17 February 2025 -Ref: SW24.25-260

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace a gas main. This order will become operative on the 17 February 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Lower Church Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming Into Force: 4 March 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-261

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to connect new water supply. This order will become operative on the 4 March 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Chestnut Lane, Bleadon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming Into Force: 24 February 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-262

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Truespeed for ducting for fibre cable. This order will become operative on the 24 February 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 8 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Montpelier East, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming Into Force: 18 February 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-266

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 18 February 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 7 hours in duration between 9.30hrs & 15.30hrs. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Shiplate Road, Bleadon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming Into Force: 25 February 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-264

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Truespeed for trenching for fibre cable. This order will become operative on the 25 February 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 7 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

B3440 Locking Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use By Vehicles and Cyclists Date coming into force: 20 January 2025 - Ref: T24-55

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing works and will become operative on 20 January 2025, anticipated to be of seven nights (excluding weekends) in duration between the hours of 8pm - 6am. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
