What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic  Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge & A229 Taddington Roundabout, Chatham, ME5 9NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow survey works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge & A229 Taddington Roundabout, Chatham, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge will be closed from the A229 Lord Lees Roundabout to A229 Taddington Roundabout, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A229 Taddington Roundabout will be closed entirely only allowing access to diversion traffic, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any non-motorway through traffic is via A229 Lord Lees Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout, Walderslade Woods, A229 Jct 3 Interchange A2045 Link.

The alternative route for any London-bound motorway through traffic approaching from A229 Bluebell Hill is via A229 Lord Lees Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout, Walderslade Woods, A229 J3 Interchange A2045 Link, M2 Jct 3 Slip Road Westbound, M2 Jct 3 to Jct 4, M2 Jct 4 Slip Road, A278 M2 Jct Roundabout, M2 Jct 4 Slip Road, M2 Jct 4 to Jct 3.

 

Ash Lane, Stansted, TN15 7EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ash Lane, Stansted, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Woodlands Garden Centre, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ash Lane, Stansted Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.

 

Gighill Road, Larkfield, ME20 6UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gighill Road, Larkfield, on or after 20th January 2025 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Chaucer Way and Lunsford Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lunsford Lane, Leybourne Way, Gighill Road and vice versa.

 

Taylors Lane, Trottiscliffe, ME19 5ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Taylors Lane, Trottiscliffe, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction of Pilgrims Way and White Clouds. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vigo Hill, A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, Trottiscliffe Road, Addington Lane, Taylors Lane and vice versa.
