Swale, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

Bexon Lane, Bredgar, ME9 8HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bexon Lane, Bredgar, from 15th January 2025, with estimated completion by 17th January 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Barn Orchard and Bradbourne, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bexon Lane, Hawks Hill Lane, Bashford Barn Lane, Swanton Street, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Borden Lane, Borden, ME9 8HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Borden Lane, Borden, from 14th January 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 235, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Borden Lane, A2 London Road, Wises Lane, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Courtenay Road, Dunkirk. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow tree works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Courtenay Road, Dunkirk, from 13th January 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed North of the junction with Dawes Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Courtenay Road, Canterbury Road, Staplestreet Road, Church Hill, Butler’s Hill, Dargate Road, Courtenay Road, and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Highstreet Road, Hernhill. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Highstreet Road, Hernhill, from 13th January 2025, with estimated completion by 17th January 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Plumpudding Lane and Waterham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

For vehicles travelling east the alternative route is via Monkshill Road, Seasalter Road, Headhill Road, Head Hill, Whitstable Road, A299 Thanet Way and Highstreet Road.

For vehicles travelling west the alternative route is via Plumpudding Lane, Huffkins Way, A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street, Staplestreet Road, Head Hill, Headhill Road, Seasalter Road and Monkshill Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Kit Hill, Selling, ME13 9QJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow tree works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kit Hill, Selling, from 13th January 2025, with estimated completion by 17th January 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Selling Road and Crouch Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crouch Lane, Selling Road, Kit Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Oak Lane, Upchurch, ME9 7BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow Section 278 works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Upchurch, from 13th January 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd February 2025, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Wallbridge Lane and Horsham Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oak Lane, A2 London Road, Moor Street, Otterham Quay Lane, Horsham Lane, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Poot Lane, Upchurch. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow pole testing and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Poot Lane, Upchurch, from 15th January 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Wetham Green, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wetham Green, Poot Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Crescent, Halfway, ME12 3BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow Section 278 works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Crescent, Halfway, from 13th January 2025, with estimated completion by 25th January 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A250 Halfway Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A250 Queenborough Road and Southdown Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Thread Lane, Dunkirk, ME13 9TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Thread Lane, Dunkirk from 14th January 2025 for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Staple Street and Church Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Staplestreet Road, Dawes Road, Thread Lane, Crockham Lane, Church Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

West Street, Faversham, ME13 7RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025
To allow desilting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of West Street, Faversham, from 21:00 hours on 13th January 2025, with estimated completion by 06:00 hours on 14th January 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 102, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Street, Caslocke Street, Hatch Street, Beckett Street, Napleton Road, Tanners Street, Curtis Way, Stonebridge Way, Beech Close, Lower Road and B2040 South Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
