Hysbysir drwy hyn bod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd wedi derbyn awdurdod gan Weinidogion Cymru dan adran 15(5) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991) i ymestyn Gorchymyn Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd (Stephenson Street, Casnewydd) (Llwybr Troed Rhif 401/4/1) (Cau Llwybr Troed Dros Dro) 2024. Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 6 Awst 2024 a byddai wedi dod i ben ar 5 Ionawr 2025 ond mae bellach wedi’i ymestyn hyd at a chan gynnwys 5 Awst 2025 neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi’i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw’r cynharaf.

Bydd yn wahardd unrhyw un rhag mynd ar hyd Llwybr Troed 401/4/1 o Gyfeirnod Grid ST319861 yn Stephenson Street i gyfeirnod Grid ST329853 yn Heol y Gorfforaeth. Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw i wneud gwaith atal llifogydd ar ran Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru. Mae’r llwybr arall ar hyd Heol Corporation Road a Stephenson Street.

NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL

(STEPHENSON STREET, NEWPORT) (FOOTPATH NO. 401/4/1) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Newport City Council has received authority from the Welsh Ministers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991) for the extension of the Newport City Council (Stephenson Street, Newport) (Footpath No. 401/4/1) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024. The Order became operative on 06 August 2024 and would have expired on 05 January 2025 but is now extended up to and including 05 August 2025 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along Footpath 401/4/1 from Grid Reference ST319861 at Stephenson Street to Grid reference ST329853 at Corporation Road. The reason for making the order is due to flood defence works on behalf of Natural Resource Wales. The alternative route is via Corporation Road and Stephenson Street.
