Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
A260 Canterbury Road, Densole, CT18 7BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A260 Canterbury Road, Densole, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 366, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A260 Canterbury Road, A260 The Street, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Old Dover Road, A260 Box Iron Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound On, A2 Dover Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 Buckland Avenue, A256 Barton Road, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, A256 Woolcomber Street, A20 Townwall Street, A20 Snargate Street, A20 Limekiln Street, A20 Archcliffe Road, A20 Trunk Road, A20 Dual Carriageway, A260 Alkham Valley Road, A260 Canterbury Road and A260 Spitfire Way.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A260 Spitfire Way, A20 Dual Carriageway, A20 Trunk Road, A20 Archcliffe Road, A20 Limekiln Street, A20 Snargate Street, A256 York Street, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Westbound Off, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 The Street and A260 Canterbury Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bartholomew Street & Upper Malthouse Hill, Hythe, CT21 5BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bartholomew Street & Upper Malthouse Hill, Hythe, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
Bartholomew Street will be closed between the junctions of Malthouse Hill and Great Conduit Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Malthouse Hill, High Street, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Prospect Road, East Street Roundabout, Station Road, Dental Street and Bartholomew Street.
Upper Malthouse Hill will be closed at the junction with Bartholomew Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Upper Malthouse Hill, Hillside Street, Lucys Hill, North Road, Barrack Hill, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, High Street and Malthouse Hill.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Bartholomew Street, Malthouse Hill, High Street, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, Barrack Hill, North Road, Lucys Hill, Hillside Street and Upper Malthouse Hill.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Boyke Lane, Ottinge, CT4 6XL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyke Lane, Ottinge, on or after 16th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Cheltenham House to outside Little Boyke, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boyke Lane, Canterbury Road, Longage Hill, White Horse Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Duck Street, Elham, CT4 6TH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Duck Street, Elham, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Duck Street, Running Hill, Standard Hill Top, Lickpot Hill, Vicarage Lane, Pound Lane, The Square and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Encombe, Sandgate, CT20 3EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Encombe, Sandgate, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Cabin, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
St Nicholas Road, Hythe, CT21 6JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Nicholas Road, Hythe, on or after 17th January 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only.
St Nicholas Road will be closed from number 1 to the Auction Room. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boundary Road, Frampton Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square and A259 Dymchurch Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works
