Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, CT15 6DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite The Studio Bay Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bay Hill, Hotel Road, Granville Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 16th January 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Beacon Lane Farm to outside Beacon Lane Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beacon Lane, Drainless Road, Foxborough Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bell Lane, Sandwich, CT13 0WU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bell Lane, Sandwich, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Upper Strand Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Strand Street, Knightrider Street, The Quay and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lydden Hill, Denton, CT15 7JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow construction works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lydden Hill, Denton, on or after 2nd January 2025 for up to 51 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed Southbound only, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only.

The closure will be from the A2 Dover Road exit slip road onto Lydden Hill, to where the road merges into single carriageway, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lydden Hill, A2 Dover Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, London Road, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Old Dover Road, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Dover Road, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 63A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Dover Road, Avondale Road, B2011 New Dover Road, Alexandra Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Saunders Lane, Ash, CT3 2BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Saunders Lane, Ash, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Castleford, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Street, Sandwich Road, Saunders Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street, Sholden, CT14 0AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Sholden, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The Street will be closed as a rolling closure, once works are completed on one of the closures works will begin on the second closure.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A258 London Road and Vicarage Lane and from outside number 52 to outside number 77, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 London Road, Sholden New Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
