Airport Road - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles
What is happening?
CITY OF BRISTOL (AIRPORT ROAD AND BAMFIELD, HARTCLIFFE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (AIRPORT ROAD AND HENGROVE WAY, HARTCLIFFE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the roads specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this Notice, from making a right turn into the roads specified in column 2 of the said Schedule.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 8th January 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8th January 2025 and 31st October 2025).
