What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Little Green, Cheveley (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025-099 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Little Green, Cheveley as lies between Icknield Close and Oak Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Little Green – Coach Lane – Saxon Street Road – Oak Lane and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection, rising main and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 January and 28 March 2025.
London Road (A1304), Little Wilbraham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025-100 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along London Road (A1304), Little Wilbraham as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1304 – A142 – A14 – M11 – A505 – A11 and vice versa or Non-Motorway traffic – Wilbraham Road – Six Mile Bottom Road – Rectory Farm Road – Great Wilbraham Road – Great Wilbraham Road, Great Wilbraham – The Lanes – Church Street – High Street (C232) – Mill Green – A11 – A1304 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 25 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:00hrs 25 January and 09:00hrs 26 January 2026.
Station Road, Dullingham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025-121 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Dullingham as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1061 – Hall Farm, Stetchworth – A1304 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 05:00hrs 14 January 2025.
High Street, Brinkley (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025-052 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Brinkley as lies between Sycamore Cottage and The Old Forge. The alternative route for vehicles is via High Street – B1052 – High Street, West Wratting – The Common – Common Road – Common Road (C238), Weston Colville – Common Road – Carlton Green Road, Carlton – Church Road – Brinkley Road – Brinkley Road (C231) – Carlton Road, Brinkley and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January and 15 January 2025.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
