What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ELLESFIELD AND THE GREEN, WELWYN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Ellesfield, Welwyn from its junction with The Green south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of The Green, Welwyn from its junction with School Lane north westwards for its entire length.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1000 HERTFORD ROAD, HATFIELD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1000 Hertford Road, Hatfield from its junction with B642 St Albans Road East north eastwards to its junction with Lodge Drive, a distance of approximately 647m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1000 Great North Road, A1001 (South Way/ Roehyde Way/Comet Way), A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road) and A1000 Hertford Road or via A1000 Hertford Road, A414 (Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), A1001 (Comet Way/Roehyde Way/South Way) and A1000 Great North Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WELL ROAD, CUFFLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Well Road, Cuffley from a point 146m north east of its junction with B156 Coopers Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Well Road, B156 Judges Hill, Vineyards Road, B157 The Ridgeway and Well Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole and tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WILDHILL ROAD, HATFIELD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wildhill Road, Hatfield from its junction with Hatfield UUCR No.1 (Woodside) north eastwards for a distance of approximately 180m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Wildhill Road, A1000 Great North Road, B158 Kentish Lane, Wild Hill and Wildhill Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HANDSIDE LANE, WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Handside Lane, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Applecroft Road north eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Handside Lane, Lemsford Lane, B195 Valley Road, Youngs Rise and Handside Lane or via Handside Lane, Lemsford Lane, B195 Valley Road and Applecroft Road or via Lemsford Lane, A6129 Stanborough Road, Park Way and Barleycroft Road

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN NEWGATE STREET, EPPING GREEN, LITTLE BERKHAMSTED, WELWYN, OAKHILLS, CODICOTE AND KIMPTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of C54 (unnamed road), Newgate Street/Epping Green and Church Road, Little Berkhamsted from its junction with Newgate Street Village north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Robins Nest Hill, a distance of approximately 2042m.

An alternative route will be via Newgate Street Village, Newgate Street, Darnicle Hill, Hammondstreet Road, Dig Dag Hill, Longfield Lane, Flamstead End Road, B156 (Flamstead End Road/Churchgate Road/Goffs Lane/Cuffley Hill/Station Road), B157 (Plough Hill/East Ridgeway/The Ridgeway/Shepherds Way), A1000 Great North Road, B158 (Kentish Lane/Cum Cum Hill/High Road/Essendon Hill/ Low Road/unnamed road/ Lower Hatfield Road) and Robins Nest Hill.

2. that length of Kimpton Road, Welwyn/Oakhills/Welwyn/Codicote and Kimpton Road (East), Kimpton from its junction with Fulling Mill Lane north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with B691 Ballslough Hill, a distance of approximately 6166m.

An alternative route will be via Fulling Mill Lane, B656 (Links Road/Church Street), A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road, B197 (Welwyn Bypass Road/Digswell Hill/Great North Road), B653 (Brocket Road/Marford Road/Cory Wright Way/Codicote Road) and B651 (Lamer Lane, Kimpton Road/Ballslough Hill).

3. that length of Fulling Mill Lane, Welwyn from its junction with the B656 Codicote Road/ B656 Link Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Kimpton Road, a distance of approximately 227m.

An alternative route will be via Fulling Mill Lane, B656 (Links Road/Church Street), A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road, B197 (Welwyn Bypass Road/Digswell Hill/ Great North Road), B653 (Brocket Road/Marford Road/Cory Wright Way/ Codicote Road), B651 Lamer Lane, Kimpton Road, B651 Ballslough Hill, Kimpton Road (East) and Kimpton Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KIMPTON ROAD, WELWYN/ CODICOTE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kimpton Road, Welwyn/Codicote from its junction with St Albans Road north westwards to its junction with Heath Lane, a distance of approximately 1380m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via St Albans Road, B656 High Street, Whitwell Road, The Grove and Heath Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.39 AND NO.44 SKIMPANS CLOSE, HATFIELD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.39 and No.44 Skimpans Close, Hatfield from its junction with Booths Close south eastwards to its junction with Skimpans Close, a distance of approximately 39m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Booths Close, the footway situated on the east side of Holloways Lane, the footway situated on the north side of Bulls Lane and the footway situated on the west side of Skimpans Close.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 January 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.
