Lancefield Avenue - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(LANCEFIELD AVENUE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 12 December 2024 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on Lancefield Avenue for its whole length.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles and personnel engaged in the works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles and personnel on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on the 06 January 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to the 06 April 2025 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
