What is happening?

Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Section 257
and Paragraph 1 of schedule 14
Northumberland County Council
Wansbeck (Public Footpath No 48) Diversion Order 2024

The above Order was made on 4th December 2024. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
Public Footpath No 48 (Former Wansbeck District)
To extinguish the footpath from a point, at the snicket 45 metres south of Oxford House (O.S grid reference NZ 2655, 8542), in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 80 metres, to a point 70 metres south of number 17 Stakeford Crecent (NZ 2662, 8538). 
To create a 1.8 metre wide footpath, from a point, at the snicket 45 metres south of Oxford House (O.S grid reference NZ 2655, 8542), in a southerly direction, then easterly, then southerly, then easterly, then southerly, then easterly, then southerly, then easterly direction, for a total distance of 110 metres, to a point 70 metres south of number 17 Stakeford Crecent (NZ 2662, 8538).
These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices of Ashington Town Hall, 65 Station Road, Ashington, NE63 8RX and at Main Reception, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased. They can also be viewed online at https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/About/Maps/Public-rights-of-way.aspx. Any queries relating to the Order should be directed to adam.musk@northumberland.gov.uk
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Barbara McCabe, Legal Officer at the address shown below or by email to Barbara.McCabe@northumberland.gov.uk not later than 31st January 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Northumberland County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
